I would highly recommend this hotel. It's location is perfect because it's right in the gaslamp, adjacent to Petco Park and the Convention Center. The staff has been great both times that I've stayed there and the price was resonable for such an elegant hotel. The rooms feature a flat screen tv, free wifi, and beautiful decor. There's a complimentary wine hour in the lobby daily. The hotel restaurant is excellent, although a bit pricey. The hotel bar, by the gorgeous pool, is a hotspot in San Diego. It' has a nice firepit with views of the city. You'll find tons of locals as well as visitors lounging every night of the week. During the weekends, the pool is open to the public. I've stayed in many hotels and I would rate this one a 9 out of 10. It's only been open for 2 years, so I'm sure the prices will go up after more people find out about this gem!

Dining: Short Walk, Mister Tiki on 5th has the best mai tais and food in town. It's a fun atmosphere and perfect for groups. Also, Rockin' Baja Lobster Tacos has the best seafood tacos this side of the border. Both restaurants are great options if you're looking for a very reasonably priced dining experience.
