The Mercurio Hotel is in an excellent location within the Zona Romantica, very close to restaurants and good shopping. According to the receptionist, mine was one the smallest rooms in the hotel. The size, for one person was fine. Unfortunately, the water pres sure in the shower was almost non existent. The shower head was broken, never fixed. I could not figure out why the cleaning person did not report if he was using it every day to clean the shower area. As per the room in general, there was no chair in the room and the two bed side lamps had seen better days (lamp shades loose and off… read full review »

Staying at the Hotel Mercurio was an absolute pleasure. Check-in was extremely gracious and made sure I was well informed of the hotel and surrounding area. I checked into my room and it was extremely comfortable. Air conditioning was just right with remote control and an overhead fan. I was directly off poolside and almost heard nothing in my room. The pool side bartender was an absolute joy to have serving me drinks.....and with Happy Hour and two for one drinks there was plenty of fun to be found. By the way, the pool area, though small, was extremely clean and tended to be the epicenter… read full review »

The Hotel Mercurio was a great choice! So close to everything we wanted (beach, restaurants both budget & higher end, clubs, ATM, money exchange, bank). Hotel staff is knowledgable, friendly, approachable, and efficient. Beds are very firm, room is simple but adequate, ac worked very well. Booked a rental car through hotel and it was great, delivered to hotel and picked up was a great convienence. Free internet acess was a real plus that I used every day. The new pool was beautiful and a great place for breakfast and evening gathering. Breakfast buffet was all anyone could want. Drinks,… read full review »

The Hotel Mercurio was a complete find! We had the most wonderful time in Puerto Vallarta because of our expericence with the Hotel Mercurio. The front desk staff was exceptional, especially the concierge who went above and beyond to make our stay in Mexico a memorable one. The maids were friendly and introduced themselves, and kept the room spotless and well-organized. Things just got better and better. The pool was open 24-hours, which was a perfect way to end a night out at Puerto Vallarta's clubs (the front desk always told us which club to go to each night). The hotel bar really… read full review »

Hotel Mercurio in Puerto Vallarta was a great value (September) and a good choice for a man traveling alone as I was. Not only did I never feel alone, unless I wanted to be, the staff of the hotel was extremely welcoming and friendly. They provided a buffet breakfast every morning around the pool area. This was a perfect time to socialize with other guests, or just to wake up slowly. Hotel Mercurio also provided 24-hr. access to a free computer terminal for internet access, and phones for making local as well as international calls for free. The only drawback I found was that the… read full review »

Hotel Mercurio, situated in an ideal location in the 'Zona Romantica', was a quaint hotel. The staff is super friendly and helpful in regards to ground transportation, ideas for activities in town, restaurants, etc. The pool area was very well-kept. I wish the waterfall in the pool was on all the time. I never did get an opportunity to experience that. The breakfasts were delicious with fresh pastries, fresh tropical fruit salad, yogurts, and Mexican meats/casseroles. The 24/7 access to the computer was a great ammenity, also. The room was a bit small, but comfortable. Thumbs… read full review »

This has been my sixth business trip to Puerto Vallarta with the last twelve months. I have stayed at (2) of the 4 Star all inclusive hotels, once at a cabana and (2) 3 Star hotels. None have been so much fun as the Hotel Mercurio. From the staff to the guests, the hotel permeates fun and laughter. I do not drink, I tend to turn in early and also keep to myself on these trips. I will only stay here when I return. The rooms are very clean, the air and television worked fine. There is free internet for guests in the office and is available 24 hrs a day. I am a woman that travels alone, the… read full review »

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a great time. The staff is super friendly and the location is great. The pool bar, and bartender are great. Breakfast was served by the pool daily and it was very tasty. This is so close to the beach, cafes and restaurants. I can't wait to go back for more. Viva Mercurio!Nightlife: Short Walk, There were plenty of bars and lounges on both sides of the hotel. One set was right around the corner and a little bit up the hill. The other set was about 6 blocks away and there were many options. All along the way there were great places for dinner and… read full review »

Hotel Mercurio was a nice little hotel right in the center of everything. The staff was very friendly and were able to ask any question one had. Some of the rooms still have a mattress on top of a concrete slab which makes the bed VERY hard and the room I occupied did not have any type of dresser to put your clothes in and then not enough hangers to hang everything up that I brought along. If you happen to go in the low season, it is a good deal, but I would not pay over $100 a night in the high season as there are places right on the beach that you can get for that price or even rent your… read full review »

We could not have asked for a better location. The hotel was in walking distance to everything. Restaurants, downtown and only one block from beach. the rooms were large and clean. The staff could not have been more helpful especially the front desk, always steering us in the right direction (in english) to all our questions. We would definitelly recommend The Hotel Mercurio to all our family and friends. Recreational Attactions: Short Walk, —… read full review »

The Hotel Mercurio once again exceeded my expectations. This was my second stay at Hotel Mercurio and I was just as impressed as I was following my first stay. Hotel Mercurio staff are excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous. Hotel Mercurio has a great location only a short walk to many dining and shopping areas as well as some of the great nightlife PVR has to offer. I will definetly be back!!!Nightlife: Short Walk, —… read full review »

We enjoyed the Mercurio very much. It was a great value in a great neighborhood close to the beach (1 1/2 blocks), fine dining, night life, and adventure excursions. The staff was very accomodating and always eager to help out.Recreational Attactions: Short Walk, Both the Canopy of Eden and ATV/Dunebuggy departure points were within four or five blocks of the hotel making taxis unnecessary. —… read full review »
