The hotel Marlowe in Cambridge, MA was a great overall hotel, and for the price it was even better than expected! I had spent several weeks searching for hotels in and around Boston, MA for New Years weekend as a surprise for my husband. I decided on the Hotel Marlowe. When we arrived (after 10pm) the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very modern and clean. The only thing I have to say is that the lighting wasn't the best. If you like bright lighting when you are getting ready you will be dissappointed. Also the shower has about 5 shower heads that are in all… read full review »

My husband & I brought our 1.5yr old to the Hotel Marlowe and had a great time. A full size crib (not pack n play) was already in our room at check-in, provided with sheet & warm child-sized blanket. In the morning, we walked to the Museum of Science - an easy 5 minute walk. Throughout our stay my husband & daughter went to the adjacent mall several times for shopping. The only disadvantage at the time was that construction was being done on the parking garage & made for a frustrating 30 min or so to park. However, just after check-in, I was able to relax though during the 5-6pm wine… read full review »

The Hotel Marlowe was luxurious while maintaining a sense of humor. The room is decorated with faux mink and leopard prints, though doesn't quite cross the line into tacky. The room was spacious and very clean and I felt right at home. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is adjoined to a shopping mall with fun places to eat and shop around. The hotel is also only a short distance from downtown Boston--without the prices.Shopping: In Hotel, connected to the Cambridgeside Galleria. Inside are The Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, Paparazzi, Macy's, Best Buy,… read full review »

The Marlowe continues in the tradition of its sister hotel (Monaco--one of my favorites) by providing luxury within a very modern, funky-elegant setting. The design and decoration are fun and colorful. Stunning really. I loved finding the leopard print robe hanging in my ruby-red-walled room. There were a couple of things missing in the room -- a corkscrew, coffee with caffeine....slight annoyances -- but otherwise the service was great, and the staff was REALLY great and friendly.Dining: Short Drive, The nearby Central Kitchen has a beautiful bar and restaurant, and fabulous food. Short taxi… read full review »

The Kimpton hotel, Hotel Marlowe, was not just a clean, safe and very comfortable envirnment. The staff was very genuine in their efforts at attentiveness and total hospitality. The little extras, such as the staff addressing my family by name upon each interaction and the attentive bellman made this trip truely relaxing and it "felt" like a vacation.Shopping: In Hotel, The hotel was atteached to an entire Mall with great shopping and eateries. —… read full review »
