I wanted a nice romantic getaway, so I picked Hotel Lusso and instead wound up in a very poor area of town with a very subpar hotel. The room was very cold and uninviting, even when the fake fireplace was turned on, and the view was attrocious. For the amount I paid for the room, I was surprised at how little it offered.

I decided to try the Lusso. I met my two college age children there and although my arrival was delayed by six hours (airlines!!) my children were able to check in with ease for me and enjoy the amenities such as the wine tasting and nice warm lobby until I arrived. Everyone was more than accomodating to us including the kitchen who held our leftover dinners from a restaurant and even reheated them for us the next day! I was almost embarrassd to have such great treatment. The standard room is a little small, but nicely appointed and we got along well. The baths are nice sized with great soaking... read full review »

Hotel Lusso is a really nice boutique hotel. We had a nice stay. It is central to downtown Spokane and the Riverfront park. The room was clean and it had a large bath. A few problems, because it is an old building, it has a slopeing problem. The floors are not level so the drawer to the desk would not stay shut. The bath mirror is to high and the full view mirror should not be on the inside of the bath door. No place to put toiletries really. But very clean (most important) and very friendly staff. Would stay again.

Shopping: Short Walk, There's a huge city park just a few blocks from the...

The best part of the Hotel Lusso is the atmosphere of casual elegance that takes you back in time to an era when hotels felt like very lovely homes. I did not spend enough time there to sample its restaurant but there are a number of restaurants from casual to more formal close by. It is a bit of a walk to the riverfront park convention area, but it is conveniently located to the downtown shopping areas. Overall, my experience was very positive.

Dining: Short Walk, The Greek restaurant across the street is very good and there's a great wine selection too.

The hotel provides the business traveller or vacationer an oasis in which to relax away from the normal hustle and bussle of life in the city. The hotel public areas and rooms are well appointed and the staff were both friendly and attentive. The restaurant facilities were limited at the time of my stay but this was not of concern as there are many fine restaurants within short walking distance. What a pleasure to be away from the impersonality and steriotype of the chain hotels - even the up-market ones. Good value for money.

Dining: Short Walk,
