Hotel Indigo - Scottsdale, AZ —

I've been to Scottsdale several times and while it is easy to find an affordable hotel nothing has come close to Hotel Indigo.

Lobby:

The lobby as with everything in the hotel is very hip.  The hotel bar serves drinks at night and Starbucks coffee in the morning.  The hotel also has a unique water jug filled with different fruit for one of the most refreshing glasses of water I've had in awhile.  The staff on hand is extremely helpful and enthusiastic.

Room:
walked into my room to hear music playing from the stereo system and a plasma screen television.  Like the lobby the room is very hip.  One of my biggest pet peeves with hotel rooms is there are never enough outlets around the bed area.  Hotel Indigo addresses this problem with plenty of outlest throughout the room.  The shower was very unique with a stone floor and a unique design.  The alarm clock is actually a CD player that you can plug your computer or Ipod into.  The device is connected to a surround sound system that was yet another nice touch.  As for the bed it's not the Heavenly bed but it's not too shabby.  It definitely feels like your at home and not a hotel room.

Location:

The hotel is located right in the middle of old town Scottsdale and walking distance to all of the bars and clubs around the area.  If you are in Scottsdale specifically to check out the amazing night life this is without a doubt the best place to stay.

Price:

It was summer when I stayed at Hotel Indigo and my room was $90 a night.  For that price I've never stayed in anything close to this hotel.  I imagine during peak season Hotel Indigo probably goes for around $130 which is you still are getting your money's worth.

Overall:

I lived in hotels for a year straight and this is without a doubt the best deal I've ever recieved for a hotel room.  I've stayed in a few nicer hotels but those hotels were upwards of $150 a night.  If you're looking for an affordable hotel in the Phoenix area you will not find a better deal than Hotel Indigo.
