I have or have had just about every carrier on the market. An unadjustable sling like the hotsling is a great easy type of sling to use during casual activity. I say this because leaning over may result in your child tipping or falling out. The sling is not unsafe but as with all carriers you have to use caution and limit what you do while carrying your child. I use this primarily around the house when my son wants to be held but I have things I need to do and need my hands free. If I am out walking or running after my toddler I opt for something that offers me and my baby more supports like my Ergo or Becco. The hotsling is an easy, fast to put on carrier that is a good option for novice baby wearers but may not offer the security and versatility an active parent may need. Hotslings are very attractive, are well made but buying the right size is essential. If you are sort of between sizes then order the next size up.
