Hot Coupon World —

Although Hot Coupon World promotes that they help enforce faud, they choose what "offers" and "coupons" are listed on the board to their preference.  If you do not agree with the way they think, yet you break no rules nor any of their terms of service, they will ban you.  If one mod does not like you, the entire message board mod does not like you.  Mods act more like the mob on this website.

Additionally, there are MANY conversations about fraudulent behavior on this board which violates manufacturers agreements.  Discussions about how to print multiple copies of coupons (more than 2), how to get more than 1 store card in your name, and providing links to coupons that were distributed via email.  Additionally, in their auction forum, they SELL coupons, which is illegal.  Additionally, they direct link to CVS store coupons and direct link to Walgreens store coupons, which is against those stores terms.

If they do not like the way a thread is transpiring, they will edit your thread ENTIRELY, to the point where it does not say the same thing as originally.  They censor people who are "whistle blowers" and praise those who discuss fraudulent behavior.

If you are a newbie, they will be welcoming as they are experts above newbies.  However, those who are experienced and know the tricks, and know when something is fraudulent, they don't like and are intimidated by them.

There is a group of people online who have started their own group who have been banned from HCW because of HCWs Nazi-like behavior, I suggest you look for it.  If however, you belong to that group and HCW, you will be banned just for belonging tot he other group.  I know because I had only posted once or twice to HCW, and was "chatting" with a fellow HCW, or what I thought was a fellow HCW, and told them I belonged to this other group.  Ten minutes later, I was banned.  I never published anything publically about belonging tot he other group.  I had not made a post in nearly 2 weeks.  Yet I was banned, with the reason being that I belonged to another group.  The mod that banned me was Queenofthehivemomof5.

Upon talking with members of the other group, I found out this is common practice at HCW and learned from other members what they had been banned for.

If you like couponers who are Nazis, this is the place for you.  If you are a manufacturer or a store executive, I highly suggest you take a very close look at the posts on their website.  On the surface you will see "stickies" about fraud, but if you look deeper into the posts, you will see things you do not like and consider fraudulent behavior and sometimes, illegal behavior.

The mob of bullies arrived in Feb 09 to shout down this truthful post. Fortunately, they dont own this site, so cant censor it. Similar truthful posts as this one would often be erased despite their phony claim that discussion is encouraged.

Try AFULLCUP, HIP2SAVE, or SLICKDEALS.NET. Better sites without the drama, bullying, or hypocrites. Site is full of fraudulent methods to use coupons. Also done behind the scenes with private messages.

I agree that HCW is full of cliques but fraud is NOT prevalent on that site.

smilinjusbecuz wrote on Feb 12, 2009 at 1:33AM

high-larious I just find it funny that it wasn't until after he/she was BANNED that this site became a place for all us "NUTS" to hang out.

And I think that they should contact the manufactures themselves and tell them they wanted to be part of a group that "promotes fraud" as they signed up!

Thankfully HCW Banned them as to stop them from doing so. I wonder if the manufactures will give the mods and award for that.

lets break you down a bit
first of all having more than one computer and printing the allowed number of coupons PER computer is NOT FRAUD. period. Having more than one store card is NOT fraud period. I assume here you are talking CVS. YOU personally can have ONE card and so can family members. i have never seen a coupon SOLD on HCW, i have seen people pay for someone's clipping time and the time to mail something out. but that is also not FRAUD.and they DO NOT link directly to specific store coupons like you say. that is a FLAT OUT LIE. i honesly hope you can be sued for this liable.

it is flat out disgusting to compare ANYONE ona COUPON SITE to Nazis. or have you forgotten your HISTORY!! shame on you.

satileigh wrote on Feb 11, 2009 at 11:09AM

you are a liar and a fool LOL you are posting FALSE information and apparently are in a snit for being busted for doing something stupid on HCW.

I do think you need to use a spell check and have others read your posts before sending them out to the world to view. My eyes are sore.

Holy cow, is this off base! I have been using this site for almost a year, and never, I mean NEVER, have I seen a mod be ANYTHING but polite and totally professional. They are not only kind, helpful, and encouraging, but they gently enforce the rules, and are very unequivocal about what is permissable and what is not. Please, readers, disregard this review and check out the HCW yourself. Talk about sour grapes!

1- Selling coupons is not illegal, and they are only sold or traded on HCW for something of equal value, like another coupon, stamps, coke codes, etc. 2- No where does HCW promote fraudulent coupon use. If there is a post about it, it is only because a mod has not found it and deleted it b/c ALL the rules say it is illegal to post about breaking stores' coupon policy. 3- You are posting in a public, moderated forum. Of course there will be moderators, just like at any other public online forum. HCW mods are awesome and only moderate your thread if you are breaking rules which most often happens if someone is posting about fraudulent couponing behavior, OR they are being rude or disrespectful towards others. And Queenofthehivemomof5 is one of the creating mods and it is listed in the rules at HCW that she can use her own discretion to ban members who break the rules. YOU are obviously a troublemaker and you deserved what you got.

I don't know where you're getting this info from, but you're incorrect.
Also, there is NO WAY around bricks. You can print 2 coupons per computer, period. So you're CERTAINLY wrong on that.

Also, it's not illegal to sell coupons. It renders the coupon void, but it IS NOT illegal. Know your laws.
Everything said in your post is incorrect, but I don't see the need to pick it through, since others already have.

I belong to HCW and its such a blessing that I found it. I've never had any problems with them at all. They DO NOT PROMOTE fraudelent behavior! I didn't even know you could be kicked off their site, I'm mostly a lurker and rarely share info with them, but I do benefit from all the finds. Every time I'm approached about couponing by cashiers or managers at the stores I suggest they check out HCW and alot of them do, it helps them order more of the products coming up on sales that we have a coupon for.

indianadana wrote on Feb 8, 2009 at 7:54AM

This has not been my experience at all but I have not posted a lot-mostly just go there to get info but I am curious as to what other group you belong to. I belong to several of them.

shoppingcartdiva wrote on Feb 8, 2009 at 12:35AM

Personally, I found the review hilarious. Someone obviously doesn't own a pair of big girl panties.

shadowchasy wrote on Feb 6, 2009 at 7:01PM

Here is my Opinion....you got banned for trying to promote misuse of coupon s and now you are pissed off. I too am proud to say that I am a MOD of this HCW and proud of it. If you post in my forum and you are promoting misuse of coupons, yep you will get your post removed. As for being ugly to newbies or any other member there....NO WE ARE NOT. You just got busted and now you want to whine.

coupongirl wrote on Feb 6, 2009 at 10:31AM

You should really work on your grammar before writing something so controversial.

manders13 wrote on Feb 6, 2009 at 9:25AM

I think your tototally out of line. Because of this website i have been able to save my family THOUSANDS of dollars LEGALLY. Keep on with your nasty comments. I am PROUD to say i am a mod of that wonderful forum and NONE of us are even CLOSE to what your describing. So please everyone who reads this come on over, I'll be MORE then happy to show you around!

panlady8 wrote on Feb 6, 2009 at 8:05AM

I joined HCW for the very reason that they DO NOT promote fraudulent use of coupons like some other boards I have seen. Sometimes coupons come in PDF form and therefore multipile copies can be printed. I also belong to other boards and have never been banned. I have found the women(and men) on HCW to be kind, caring, helpful people.

faeryedark wrote on Feb 6, 2009 at 7:52AM

Wow, you're wacked!!! i've been a member of HCW for a year and ahalf, and am a member of other boards. I have not been banned, and the only fraud I've seen was posted by newbies and was quickly taken care of. I have not seen links to CVS coupons, since CVS asked all boards to stop, and the WAGS links I've seen were linked to coupons.com.

tricky1 wrote on Feb 6, 2009 at 7:43AM

HA HA! THIS IS A JOKE RIGHT?? YOU HAVE NO CLUE WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!! YOU BROKE THE RULES, YOU GOT BANNED. NOW YOUR MAD. BOO HOO!

tmrm wrote on Feb 6, 2009 at 7:23AM

I really think that you don't have a clue what you are talking about. HCW was started by 2 women who wanted to help teach others to save money. We on hcw do not talk about usinf coupons fradulently. As a matter of fact we tend to stop all talk about it as soon as possible. I think you need to just grow up.

kdl wrote on Feb 5, 2009 at 11:39PM

This is total bs. First, printing multiple coupons is not fraudulent as long as it is from different PCs (not even possible to print more than the allowed amount on one PC). Second, it's not fraudulent to have more than one CVS cards. Any CVS employee can tell you this. I agree with the previous post.

It's spelled "clique" and the correct word usage would be "you're" not "your."

stopwhining wrote on Feb 5, 2009 at 10:10PM

Nazi like behavior? So the moderators at HCW have killed 6 million innocent people?

I think /someone/ broke the rules and is pissed off now that he got banned.
