Most HelpfulThe Hot Tools Professional flat iron with 10 heat settings is better than the average flat iron. I have been contemplating replacing the old flat iron i had purchased from costco because the ceramic coating had finally wore off and the heat was not hot enough to flatten out my dry thick coarse curly hair. I have to section it off into 10 sections in order to flatten it properly otherwise I just let them do it at the salon when I have my hair colored and/or cut. This new flat iron which I purchased from the essentials beauty supply store at the mall really got my attention. It gets very hot; hot...
review »I love this product. I have had mine since 1998 or so. It is getting a little worn, but still does what I need it to do. It's not ceramic, but if I had to buy a new one I would purchase the same one. Fixes hair quickly. Doesn't take me long to straighten my hair regardless of length. I recommend hot tools to all my friends before they choose to go to CHI. It's also a lot less affordable. Heats up in just seconds. Has temperature settng that allow for all hair types. Couldn't live without mine. Slick shine is left after straightning hair. buy this produce. It is very duarable...
review »I own a hot tools straightner myself and i enjoy using it very much. I have super curly hair so i need to use a iron that will do the job. The only concern that i have with it is once it heats up, it begins to unheat once you use it. Im not sure if its from the heat going to your hair but, it doesnt seem to do as good once you start using it. YOu have to let it sit every few minutes to for it to reheat. It takes me longer to do my hair because of it. There are also brush like figures on the outside of the iron. If it doesnt stay warm how are you suppost to use them to curl your hair. Those dont...
review »I have had the Hot Tools Professional Ceramic Flat Iron Original with a 1" wide gold covered ceramic plate for several years and it works just as well now as it did when I first bought it. It heats up really fast. I really like that there is an on/off switch about halfway down the cord like a lamp does and it also has a cool slide switch on the handle of the to adjust the temperature for the type of hair you have. Unfortunately when you are using the flat iron I have found that my hand will brush against the slide thing and move it up to the really hot or really low setting and either fry...
review »I both like and dislike the Hot Tools Professional Flat Iron. For the price it is not that bad of a hair straightener, but there are definetly better flat irons out there if you invest some more money. At first this hair straightener seemed fine, it only snagged my hair once or twice and did a decent job straightening. It was much better than my old conair hair straightener. But, after a while the flat iron was not heating up or staying hot. It would not stay hot and my hair took much longer straightening. I would have to go over the same strand eight times to make it stragiht. After using it...
review »Hot tools ceramic iron is probably the best iron that I have used. I have tried several ones, and this beats it all. My hair without product in it, or any style towards it is normally really wavy and can get frizzy. This product is easy on the hair, since its ceramic plated, only needs one or two strokes down the hair/per section. The iron does provide several heated settings depending on your hair type. I do use it to its highest strength since like I said my hair is wavy. It also has a round edge to provide a little wave towards your hair if you don't want it extremely straight. ...
review »I bought the Hot Tools Professional flat iron about a month ago. I have only used it a few times but so far so good. I have pretty thick, hard to work with hair so any tool is a challenge for my hair. I was impressed with how fast it heats up and the temperature dial on the iron. I like that you can have it just the right temperture for your hair. I tryed using it on low for starters and that wasnt hot enough to really straighten my hair. But once I turned it up to 430degrees it really did a good job. Im not the best at doing my hair but I think this worked alot better than the other irons Ive...
review »The Hot Tools flat iron really does work well!! I have very thick hair and my hair is also naturally wavy. I needed an iron that really worked well on my hair. I like to straighten my hair when I go out. First I blow out my hair with my hair blower, then I straighten my hair with Hot Tools. I divide my hair into two sections and then use the flat iron. Beleieve me, if my thick hair comes out smooth and silky, so can yours! If you want silky straight hair, then try the Hot Tools Flat iron !
This is a great straightner, it works much like a CHI. The Hot Tools Professional Straightner is a little cheaper than a CHI, but it is ceramic. Therefore, it leaves your hair silky smooth. The only downfall is that in needs time to stay hot. You must let the straightner rest to regain full heat a few times while striaghtning. Other than that, it's a great professional tool, and pretty light weight for traveling.
