Wanted to like them ...

By

from Los Angeles, California

Comments about Hot Pockets Meatballs & Mozzarella:

One would think that meatballs and mozzarella would make for a delicious, tasty meal. Well, it does. Just not from Hot Pockets.

I enjoy Hot Pockets, and buy them on a regular basis. Especially the value pack of twelve. And so I thought I would enjoy this combination of meatballs and mozzarella cheese. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case for me. They're not bad. I just didn't care for the flavor that came out in every bite. Sometimes a company uses or adds an ingredient that can alter the taste to something basic as cheese or meat. I thought I would enjoy this but I just wasn't wowed.

I will continue to buy Hot Pockets. Just not this combination.

They taste so gross!

Comments about Hot Pockets Meatballs & Mozzarella:

When I first saw Hot Pockets Meatballs & Mozzarella I got excited because I thought it was unique. Instead, I got a hot on the outside, cold on the inside, disaster! The meatballs tasted like cardboard and had a disgusting texture. They didn't even taste like real meat. The mozzarella was hot in some places and cold in another. I have a brand new microwave and yet these always come out disgusting. I think I am done buying Hot Pockets.

Tasty and filling snack

Comments about Hot Pockets Meatballs & Mozzarella:

Hot Pockets Meatballs and Mozzarella are a tasty and filling snack at an affordable price. They are quick and easy to prepare. The Meatballs and Mozzarella variety contains a flaky but tender crust. Inside, you will find an abundance of big, tender, juicy, and tasty meatballs! They are also loaded with mozzarella cheese! These make a great snack or are great to serve as a meal with a bowl of soup or some chips. They are really satisfying and leave me filling full for hours.

Comments about Hot Pockets Meatballs & Mozzarella:

Hot Pockets are very convenient and great if you are in a hurry. Hot Pockets meatballs & mozzarella has a good taste. They are also filling and have a good amount of meatballs and cheese in them. These are very reasonably priced. I would recommend for a tasty snack or meal as it could work for either.

good snack/meal for kids or adults in a hurry

Comments about Hot Pockets Meatballs & Mozzarella:

i buy these for my family all the time and we all love them. they are extremely quick to make and are convenient to eat anytime even on the go. i like how you can use the container you cook it in to hold the sandwich once it's finished cooking that way you don't have to get your hands messy and you can take it on the go without having to worry about making a mess of things. my kids like to eat these both as a snack and sometimes as lunch. they are filling enough for both adults and children. the only drawback for this flavor is that the meatballs do taste a little generic and not like authentic meat but it is still good overall

Hot Pockets never cook correctly

By

from Dahlonega, GA

Comments about Hot Pockets Meatballs & Mozzarella:

These have been around for years, so you would imagine that by now I would be able to get the cooking time down just right, even though I followed the cooking instructions and I am aware sometimes you need to tweak them depending on your microwave oven, they never seem to cook consistantly.  I don't know how I always manage to overcook or undercook.  No matter how I alter the time or use the suggested time for cooking, they never come out correct, either ends are almost burnt and center frozen or its not fully cooked or over cooked. The cooking consistantcy just isnt right.  The taste is ok, and I like that they now have lean pocket options but I don't really think they are worth it.  And I am not crazy about having to cook them in the little sleeve that the cheese melts out of and sticks to.  Maybe it's just me because they have been around for ages.  I also think the sodium is really high as well and they are more of a snack item and not an actual meal.

Only 300 Calories of classic italian food

By

from Vincennes, IN

Comments about Hot Pockets Meatballs & Mozzarella:

As long as I can remember my favorite sub in the whole world has been Italian meatballs with a load of mozzarella on it. Hot Pockets comes close to that great taste and it is only 300 calories.    **What the heck is a Hot Pocket    **It's really more of a small burrito to me rather than a pocket (thats why I am not employed by food companies...lol). Anyway it is stuffed with little meatballs, with a nice tomato sauce and mozzarella. It is nicely seasoned with oregano which as I like it is noticeable from the first bite. From freezer to mouth takes a little over 4 minutes including the 2 minute cooking time, they recommend you let it set for 2 minutes(not when I am hungry I don't).    For my tastes it could use a little more cheese though but hey many people don't like a bunch so it is fair. At only 300 calories, 110 of that is fat calories. it fits the bill well for a snack during the day. Although the sodium content is a bit high at 760mg., there is also 12g of fat of which none of that is trans fat.     I myself have never had a problem with watching what I eat, although I did inherit high fat in my blood from my parents. So I do try to limit my total fat intake to 110g a day or less and with this only using 12g it is not too bad. My doctor is happy and thats makes me happy!    **Bottom Line    **For a quick snack anytime during the day or night Hot Pockets can fill the need and with a pretty good taste at that. I need to take medication every 8 hours and one of these is just big enough to buffer my stomach from the medication, but not big enough to fill me up too much before bedtime. The great mix of ingredients in them along with an ample amount of oregano reminds me of eating an Italian Meatball Sub smothered with mozzarella (without the smothered...lol).
