Hot Fuzz —
Hot Fuzz, from the makers of Shaun of the Dead, is in my opinion the surprise movie of the year for 2007. I enjoyed Shaun of the Dead, as well as what I'd seen of Spaced, the British comedy from the same duo, so I decided I'd give Hot Fuzz a chance. It exceeded my expectations by far, ranking as one of my favorite comedies ever. The climactic scene especially, takes you by surprise and leaves you rolling on the floor. Another thing I like about it is that repeated viewings reveal new humorous things, because it is so fast-paced. Whether you're a fan of "Britsh comedy" or not, this film is worth seeing. Also, if you love Point Break or Bad Boys II, or any similar cop movies, you'll love the way they homage and parody the genre at the same time.
