I dealt with Hospice for over seven months in my home, They came in and checked on my mom and at the time my youngest son broke his leg they was really great there, they found a baby sittter free of charge to help me and give me a break for the night so my family and I can go out ..

 They  put her brother on a bus and paid his way back so he can come in see his sister.words cannot say how great they are.. If you can dontate your time to a family it would mean so much to them because some families has no one to help them..

just so they can take a little cat nap helps to keep them going .. And...

I'm now totally sold on the concept of hospice care. Even though we had them less than 24 hours for my mother-in-law's care, they had someone at her bedside at all times, even at the end. By being in their system they took care of handling all the necessary phone calls of contacting the doctors, getting the undertaker, closing out the account and paperwork with the assisted living. They are as much help to the family as they are to the patient
