The Horseshoe is my favorite Casino and Hotel in Tunica. They have the nicest rooms of any hotel I've seen in Tunica. The rooms have the most comfortable beds of any hotel I've ever stayed in. They also feature marble bathrooms. The bargain rooms have a shower. The more deluxe rooms have a tv in the bathroom and a huge tub. The most luxurious rooms also have a jacuzzi. All of the rooms, even the budget rooms have a very large flat screen TV. The TV offers a wide selection of pay per view movies, including movies that are still showing in theatres. All of the rooms have coffee, mini-fridges, and irons. The complementary toiletrys are nicer than most offered at similarly priced non-casino hotels. There is an outdoor pool (which sadly, unlike most of the casino amenitys is not open 24 hours, just during the day until like 8PM). There are vending machines in the hotel, but they are incredibly overpriced ($1.50 for a canned soda!), so I recommend bringing your own beverages to enjoy in your room.
The casino has the kindest, friendliest customer service I've seen in Tunica. The black jack dealers are friendly, witty, and helpful to new players. It's a great place to try table games if you've been intimidated elsewhere. The pit bosses are super nice and the comp policy is the most generous I've seen. The Horseshoe is owned by Harrah's, so any players club points you have or you earn while you're there, are good at any Harrah's property anywhere (including the Sheraton, Harrahs in Vegas, Ceasar's Palace in Vegas, etc.).
The food in the restaurants is top-notch. The Village Buffet is high quality, well-stocked, and offers a great variety. If you're a table games player, they are fairly free with the comps to the buffet, so you should ask for a comp and try it. Binions Steakhouse is fantastic. Their steaks are simply amazing. Best steak I've had anywhere. Shrimp cocktails you'll never forget. Relaxing upscale atmosphere. It is pricey, so far my average ticket for two people usually comes out between 100 and 150 dollars. So I highly recommend trying it if you're looking for luxury and don't mind spending a little more to get it, are winning and want to celebrate with something really special, or have played enough to get it comped.
I recommend the Horseshoe to anyone who wants to stay and play in Tunica.
