review »The reason i am writting this is because i think it is very mean and cruel to horses to just let their hoves grow wild and shoe them.this does hurt their feet and legs and makes it hard for them to move about. I know of a horse owner who does not care well for their horse, there has been times, when one would die and just lay there for days. Yes they do feed them well, but that is about all they do for their horses.they own minatures, clydales and quarter horses.it really pained me to see these poor, but beatiful horses have to go through this kind of not carring. Idid ask them one time why they...
My husband and I recently visited the Retirement Home for Horses in Alachua, Florida. We had pre-arranged with the owners to visit on the prescribed visitation day that the Home has set up for the public. I received an e-mail from Peter with all the directions and phone numbers to get there from Jacksonville airport. He also told me to phone if we were going to be late or needed any further instructions or got lost. As it turned out, our GPS system didn't like the address and it took a bit longer to get there than originally thought. Once we arrived, we parked and got out our bags of...
review »I am an animal lover and have been all my life. Last year I was able to adopt a Wild Mustang, and have enjoyed every minute since I have gotten him. He now is around two years old and will follow you everywhere just like a dog, except he is a horse. I named him Koda, which means "friend" in Dakota Sioux Indians, because I just knew he would be my friend and has turned out to be everyones friend. He loves to drink water from the hose and loves to swim in the tank that we have for all the animals we own. I have never regretted adopting him, even in this difficult time everyone is going...
review »This review shows just how cruel people can be and how selfish we have become as a nation. When someone gets an animal they need to understand what they are getting into. All too often I have found dogs that have been dumped with no regard for their welfare; or animals that look like they are being abused. I am a longtime pet owner, I had horses and they are alot of work, but because I was very busy and felt like I was doing them a disservice I sold them to a family who was willing to allow them to stay together. I cried my heart out over the loss of my horses and I miss them to this day but animals...
review »this facility was amazing and I'm glad to have been able to meet such caring individuals in the business. I would recommend it to anyone who no longer can care for their own equines. The rescued horses here were fed and cared for so well that I was convinced it was the perfect place for any others who needed a new home. It was also a much better prospect than getting rid of the horses to an unreliable owner and not being able to visit when we pleased.
very happy with the results and ...
=] very glad to share this awesome experience.
rescueing horses is a wonderful thing to do people don't realize horses are great animals and need to be loved just like cats and dogs. I think the people who do rescues have to be patient and kind . keep up the goood work
