Horse Rescue —

The reason i am writting this is because i think it is very mean and cruel to horses to just let their hoves grow wild and shoe them.this does hurt their feet and legs and makes it hard for them to move about.  I know of a horse owner who does not care well for their horse, there has been times, when one would die and just lay there for days. Yes they do feed them well, but that is about all they do for their horses.they own  minatures, clydales and quarter horses.it really pained me to see these poor, but beatiful horses have to go through this kind of not carring.  Idid ask them one time why they would not get their hves trimmed down to normal size, and all they could say was,"We don'y have the time or money to that" Wrong answer there, as i know they could if they really cared!

I agree that if people cannot afford their animals whatever they are they should not have them. Pets are wonderful and for the most part dependent on their owners and they deserved to be loved and cared for properly.

Amen to your review and those who have agreed! Many non-horse owners (and some horse owners themselves) do not know what all is actually entailed in truly caring for a horse. They should't have one, if they are not going to take care of it.

I would like to add that you are lucky that all you have seen is people letting horse's hooves overgrow. I have known people that have the finances and do not feed horses properly. Unfortunately, I gave some horses to a Supposed friend and found out the hard way. I wish I could prove how abusive she was and she would pay for abusing my horse as well as others. I could not get rid of any other horses even though financially, we reallly cannot afford ours. The only 1 we have left is cared for properly now, we pay for her to be boarded in a good safe place. It breaks my heart that people abuse animals. I would like them to feel what the animals feel. If they do not know better, than that is only an excuse, but people make mistakes throughout life even raising children. There is help for people with animals. People need to be better with them. I love looking into my horse's eyes and know she is happy. It makes me happy. How can anyone abuse animals? They should be ashamed. I have seen many horses mistreated at racetracks and elsewhere. It really breaks my heart.

People should take care of their animals, and for that matter teach their children some sense. But they don't. :>
