If you go to school or work and have to take your own lunch or dinner, may I suggest you try Hormel Compleats.  These are small meals packaged to cook quickly in the microwave and they travel well.  They require no refrigeration so they can sit in a desk drawer or locker until time to eat.  With several different varieties, all you'll need is a drink and you've got lunch or dinner.

I first tried Hormel Compleats when they were on sale at my local grocery store.  At the time, they were three for seven dollars which caught my eye automatically.  Where can you get three meals for seven dollars these days?  I grabbed them and figured if I didn't like them, one of my kids would eat them.  Guess what?  I loved them.  I buy them every time they are on sale.

My favorite is the Swedish meatballs with noodles but there are others such as beef stew, chicken and dumplings and Salisbury steak, to name a few.  They all come with meat, sauce and either pasta, potatoes or dressing.  When I take one to work, I usually take fresh fruit or a small salad and a bottle of water.  That is the whole meal and it fits right into my lunch-bag.  The portions are just enough.  Most of them are under three hundred calories.  They heat in only ninety seconds so you aren't wasting half of your alloted lunch time waiting on the microwave.  How easy is that?

I'm not usually a fan of microwave meals because of all the preservatives and, let's face it, nothing beats a home cooked meal.  Hormel Compleats are really good.  They taste good, they are very convenient and as lunch twice a week, I think I can withstand the preservatives.  They are also a nice alternative to soup on cold days.
