My husband and I like to eat bacon.  A few weeks ago we got a nifty microwave bacon cooking tray which makes the process easier so we've been trying a different bacon brand each week.

Last week while we were perusing the bacon selection at our local Kroger my husband grabbed the Hormel Black Label brand and said "Oh! This is always a good one!"

This week I'm having his head examined.

Hormel Black Label brand was the worst bacon I've ever had in my life.  If my mouth was not chewing and my tongue not having the feeling of meat on top of it, I'd swear I had dipped my entire tongue into a bowl of salt.  Seriously!  Although the bacon was a little thin, it looked pretty good and smelled good as well but when we started eating it all we tasted was salt.  It was not good at all and I would never buy this brand again.  I feel bad that we ended up throwing away most of the pound but it was just not tasty at all.  My husband now calls this bacon "salt sticks" and we both make sure to avoid that brand as a result.
