After months of research and looking for a good sale, I hit the jackpot at Dick's Sporting Goods!

The Horizon T-500 Treadmill was on sale - for 50% off. It was during a major spring sale and I jumped on this deal like a Cheetah in action!

The Horizon T-500 is a treadmill that has extra cushioning for joint relief. This is a must for me and my bad knees. It's a lot more comfortable to walk on . It doesn't feel like I am walking on cement and after a few miles, doesn't hurt so bad that I want to give in and sit down!

This treadmill is high tech and after a few months, I still haven't tried every feature offered. I tend to stick with the ones that work for me. I prefer the walk/workout option that lasts for 35 minutes and takes me on a high speed walk and every 10 minutes incorporates 2 minutes of jogging. At the end of the workout, I have walked 3 miles, worked up a good sweat and am feeling great!

My son prefers not to use a program and just turns it on, chooses his speed and runs for as long as he wants.

Hold onto the handles to check your heart rate and check the display to see how many calories you are burning!

There is also a feature which allows you to hook up your mp3 player or iPod so that you can listen without all the cords being in your way. There are 2 cup holders to set your water or telephone and a handy dandy ledge that will hold a mushy romance novel easily!

Of course there is the security feature where you can wear the clip and if you fall off or slip, the cord will disconnect and shut down the treadmill immediately.
