Hoover WindTunnel Vacuum

This Hoover WindTunnel Vaccum is a great vacuum for your house. I have purchased this vacuum couple of weeks ago, and it is great compare to other Kenmore brand vacuums. Yes this vacuum did died on me once, so I had to return it back to sears. The next replacement Hoover WindTunnel vacuum did not have any problems and it is working just fine as of Jan 17 2013, and I also like the design of this vacuum. This vacuum is lighter than it looks, and it's cable is long enough to clean my entire living room without having to re-plug into other wall circuit. Overall, I give 4 stars on this Hoover WindTunnel Vacuum due to great value and performance.

Great vacuum cleaner

I've been using this vacuum cleaner for a week now and am very impressed by the suction power. After my initial use my carpets actually felt softer. The telescoping suction bar is convenient and the hand beater brush is excellent for furniture. My only complaints are the small size of the waste canister and the cleanup hassle of the hepa filter.

Baless WindTunnel

So I have had my Hoover WindTunnel (Model S3765) for about 4 months now and could not be happier!  Maybe because I had my old non-Hoover forever (15+ years) and did not know the wonderful improvements they have made in vacuums.  Pros:  1. The suction is amazing; it has three settings which is needed when you are vacuuming throw rugs, curtains, etc. 2. The quick release of the power head is done only with your foot, so no more bending over, pushing that little button to separate the poles and unplugging the power to the power head. 3. The stair/upholstery power head attachment is genius; I use to hold my big power head sideways on the stairs or run it along sideways on the backside of my furniture, then I would use the crevice tool because the power head did not get close enough to the edges.  No need for that anymore because the little power head does it in one easy step! 4. The telescoping pole is a really nice feature, so whether you're tall or short, you can adjust it to your own height, or extend it the fullest to reach those high places in your house.  5. Bagless, I had never give much thought to this, but actually seeing how much you suck up makes you definitely want to do a thorough job. 6.  The cord it is self-winding, which is great because you are exhausted after that thorough vacuum job! Cons: 1. The bagless container is a bit small, so you need to empty it 2-3 times each time you vacuum, especially if you have pets.  I empty it into a plastic grocery bag; this seems to make the least amount of dust/mess.  When I am all done, I tie it up and throw it away, no biggie. 2.  The onboard compartment is not big enough for all of the attachments, so I put them in a canvas bag and hang it on the handle, again no biggie for me.

It's tempting to buy the Hoover Wind Tunnel Vacuum - DON'T!

We bought this after getting a cat that I turned out to be allergic to. We needed a vacuum with a hepa filter and one that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg.  I immediately fell in love with it. It had wonderful power and was easy to use on the stairs. I had read reviews saying it broke after a few months. I was confident they must be doing something wrong and I would be ok. WRONG!! It began to make a terrible smell, like burning rubber and not working when you pulled the handle back accross the carpet. Customer service was no help. We were very disappointed in our purchase. We duct taped our old vacuum back together and have been using it ever sense. I'm not sure what I'll do when it dies, but I'm sure I won't buy a Hoover. It seems if everyone is having this problem it should be resolved by Hoover, but it doesn't seem to be that way. They don't seem to be standing behind their products. Shame on them.

My carpet was still dirty after using this vacuum.

I had a Hoover WindTunnel S3765-040 but it kept getting clogged. I thought it was a good vacuum until I got tired of unclogging it and bought another vacuum. I did notice that my Hoover did not pick up pet hair or fuzz very well and I had to go over each area 4 times back and forth to see any difference in the rug. My husband bought me a Lindhaus Dinamate 380 and my rugs have never been cleaner!! It is a pricey vacuum but well worth it. It does not clog. It also can dry clean my rugs. It can vacuum my linoleum. It gets right around the legs and corners of my furniture. It picks up everything on the rug, even pet hairs, in one sweep. It is lighter weight and easier to use. I would give the Lindhaus Dinamate 380 a big FIVE STARS.

I love the Hoover Wind Tunnel

I love the Hoover Wind Tunnel. It is easy to maneuver. It picks up dirt better than any vacuum cleaner I have ever had. It is such a plus not to have to buy bags.. You can see just how much dirt it picks up by the canister..Mine never gets clogged or has never needed a belt....Everyone that has used it says that it has more suction than any vacuum they have ever used.. I wouldn't want to be without mine.

The windtunnel that doesn't suck!

The Hoover Wind Tunnel is the worst vacuum ever. I bought it thinking I would love the cord rewind. Well, it didn't take long for that to stop working and I haven't even had it 6 months. Also, when I think there isn't too much dirt in it, apparently the vacuum thinks there is and it won't start until you empty the canister. It has never worked like I thought it would and I will never by another like it!
