Hoover Self Propelled Wind Tunnel Vacuum great for carpet

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I love my hoover vacuum.  The self propelled feature is really nice as it is heavy without it.  I have to say the main drawback of the vacuum is it isn't very good on hard floors.  It makes a lot of noise and I am afraid it might be doing damage to the linoleum and hardwood floors.  I think it is absolutely a dream on carpet and furniture though.  I would highly recommend this vacuum cleaner if you have pets.  The bag virtually filled upon the first couple of uses because this vacuum is so much more effective than my last one was.  One of the knobs did break off the front very soon after I purchased it but I think that is the case with everything these days...the plastics are getting cheaper and thinner.  The vacuum is heavy, however, it is not a problem given the self-propelled feature.  If you want a good workout while vacuuming you can just turn the self-propelled feature off.  I would highly recommend this vacuum.

The Hoover Self Propelled Wind Tunnel is a dream come true

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

My mother always had a Hoover and I've continued the tradition.

I bought my Wind Tunnel a year ago and love it.  It just a very good job of picking up cat hair from my two cats and it has a neat attachment of a mini vacuum brush which is perfect for vacuuming cat hairs, etc. off of upholstered furniture instead of just using the suction attachments.

The vacuum has red and green lights that tell me when an area is clean (green) or that I really need to concentrate on an area that has lots of dirt (red), which encompasses the heavily trafficed areas.

I can also use the vacuum on hard floors if I like, just a simple adjustment and I'm ready to go.  There are also 3...

Nerd projectiles no more!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Our old vacuum quit... so we went on the adventure of buying a new one.  We bought some Eureka vacuum from Costco and brought it home to vacuum up a massive mess the kids made.... a box of nerds all over the laminate floor.  Well we got it all set up and went to vacuuming. YIKES!   Nerd projectiles were flying all over our kitchen and not a single one seemed to be making into the vacuum!  The ones that almost did, only crunched up into smaller pieces and flew all over the place.  I was so mad!

We quickly returned it and I told my husband we should get this vacuum because my mom had it and I love it!  Well we bought the Hoover Windtunnel, self propell...

great vacuum, great price, nice attachments.

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

I've been using this vacuum for quite some time now and am very happy with it.  It seem to do it's job well, and also hold up to the abuse my children put it through.  My kids love to sword fight with the hose extention pieces, and they haven't broken yet.  I like the fact that the filters in the vacuum are washable.  I looked into getting a bagged verses a bagless vacuum before purchasing this one, and obviously went wtih the bagged.  So far it hasn't been hard to change the bag and I feel it keeps things cleaner that way.  The bags are not very expensive, a couple dollars a piece.  It is nice the vacuum is self propelled...it's amazing how much heavier it is when you turn that mode off.  I find it a little difficult to use on stairs, even though there is a small vacuum part for that.  Overall I really like the vacuum and would recommend it to anyone.  It is a durable, quality vacuum that I expect to use for quite a few years to come.

windtunnel vaccum cleaner awesome!

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

Been using this vaccum cleaner for 2 years now and it still works like new! I love vaccuming with it. Changing bags is very easy and mess free. I do find it a little heavier than my old vaccum but but it sucks and cleans hundred times better. It is very easy to use and all the brushes come to use really perfectly too. I use it on the carpet and hard floor and it works well on both. The pipe is really easy to pull out and also work really well and easy to reach the corners. Its not very loud and makes vaccumming alot more fun and not frustrating like other vaccumms. The wire goes in with a push of a button and i love that feature. Overall i love this vaccum and it is still working great for us after two years of using it almost everyday. I would definitely recommed this vaccum, it does cost a little more but not very expensive and well worth the price paid!

The best I've seen under $500

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Not sure if this is the right one, but I use a bagged self-propelled, and love it.  It has an edger, shows when you need to go over a spot again, and tells you when to change the bag, which is extremely easy to do.  Also does hardwood floors.  Love it!
