I bought this machine to clean my carpets as I have a grandson and two dogs and, consequently, there are stains everywhere. I bought it at 4 o'clock in the afternoon on a Saturday and returned it the next day at 10 a.m. When the store opened. It would put out the water but not pick it up. I tried calling the Hoover company no lock I got on their Facebook page and describe the problem that I was having with the machine. The person that answered me on Facebook so apparently worked for Hoover stated that I needed to do some minor mechanical repair. Apparently something was reversed in there. Maybe it's just me but I really think that the machine should work right out of the box and I shouldn't have to do repair work.I have always been a Bissell girl and I guess that I will stay one. Ease of Maintenance Is it possible to give something a zero? Suction Performance Once again, is it possible to get something a 0? There was no suction all it did was put out the water and not pick it up. I had to go rent a Rug Doctor to clean up the mess it made Design it was difficult to fill. As to emptying it, don't know it didn't work.
