I have used the Hoover SteamVac Agility on my carpets and furniture, and it's really amazing what it can do.  My couch is constantly getting "yucked" and the Hoover SteamVac is awesome for this.  The upholstery attachment that came with mine is SO EASY TO USE!  You just plug in one end, put the attachment on the other and push "ON"!  It scrubs out the yucky junk without leaving scruffy spots on the furniture, which I was really worried about.  It's super-gentle on fabrics, but still extremely effective.  I use it on my carpets, as well, of course, and I am very impressed with the performance.  We have two young kids that find things to spill regularly and sometimes it's under their bed or in a closet, where I don't notice it when it happens.  Then, days later, I find this lovely dried up spot of junk and think it will never come out.  But, it does with the Hoover SteamVac!  The cleaner fluid is affordable and goes a long way, the smell is pleasant but not too strong, and the machine is easy to use!  You can't beat that!  I never thought I'd be the kind of Mom that would whip out my steam cleaner several times a week, but I am, because the SteamVac is no big deal to use!
