I purchased the Hoover MACH vacuum cleaner from Walmart back at the end of the summer of 2009 and only used this vacuum twice and it started giving me trouble, would NOT pickup dust, dirt or hair. Had to take off the cover to repair the brush that would NOT turn. On the third time I tried to use this vacuum it would not function at all. Very Very disappointed with this Hoover, I have owned Hoovers in the past and was fairly satistified with the product. 

After the third try at using the Hoover MACH, I went back to Walmart and purchased another brand of vacuum and paid about $40.00 more that what I paid for the Hoover MACH, but have been very happy with my NEW vacuum, which is a Bissell.

I have been really happy with the Hoover Mach 3 bagless vacuum. It is quite powerful and has great suction power. It gets the floor very clean. The bagless feature is very convenient. It has a large bagless chamber. Emptying the cup is very easy. The cup open on the bottom and top making it easy to empty completely. 

The on/off button is on the top of the handle, making for a convenient location.

The attachments are convenient and work well. The hose is great for sucking up messes on couches and other furniture, and stairs, or other impossible to vacuum locations. The hose comes with several extenders so there are virtually no places it can't reach. The hose has a convenient handle that makes it easy to hold. You can experiment to see how many extenders you need.

The cord is very long so you can plug in and cover a large room easily. I have not had to replace any part of this vacuum, and I've had it for 3 years.

I purchased this vaccuum a couple of years ago and although I still have it to this day and use it I don't really care for it that much.  I can't find the replacement filters ANYWHERE for it any more and not about to pay the shipping prices from hoover itself.  I have the same filter it came with and try to knock it clean when I clean the dirt cup.  Luckily my household isn't prone to allergies so I can get away with this.  It picks up w/the rotary brush on carpets fairly well but the suction from the hose itself is HORRIBLE.  From the day I bought it, it was like this.  The cup tends to fill up fast because of the bulky filter in the center but it still beats h...

I took my time shopping around for a new vacuum, comparing prices, brands and features.  I settled on this Hoover vacuum and regret my desicion.  I had nothing but headaches with it and with Hoover customer service.  After only having it a month, the motor overheated.  After about a week of playing phone tag with Hoover customer service, they finally sent a box for me to ship my vacuum to them for repair.  They replaced the motor and sent it back to me, free of charge.  2 weeks later, the same thing happened again, and again it was a major headache trying to get through to customer service and getting them to fix it.  This time, I had to pay to ship it and also had to pay to ship it back to me after they fixed it.  I had it about 4 months when the motor burned out a 3rd time.  I was fed up.  I asked Hoover why this kept happening and they said it was just a manufacturer error.  On 3 motors?????  I'll never buy a Hoover again!

I really don't care for this sweeper. It was an emergency purchase & I didn't expect it to last being so cheap and all. Well I had it for 2 months before it quit sucking. I have looked EVERYWHERE for replacement filters because I was going to give it away instead of throwing it away... I refuse to buy from the site because of shipping- it's not worth it for me. Target, Lowe's, Home Depot, local hardware and drugstores... Can't find 1 anywhere. This sweeper would probably not benefit anyone with kids or pets either... Another problem is that it is extremely loud! The cord is really short and so is the hand tool hose. Don't waste your money.

I love this vacuum! I got it last night and it was easy to put together from the box, I vacuumed my rugs and my carpet now looks like it did th day I moved in. it's softer, the color is brighter (as in the color it was without the dust in it). When I finished I had a whole full canister of dust that I was living with. I had no idea I had that much dust and nastyness in my house! I have a rabbit who I let run around every now and then and apparently I have a blanket that sheds and when I finished vacuuming I had so much fuz I thought I could make a blanket! There was just so much you don't really see on your rug that it picked up! it's amazing. I love the features, this is NOT THE MACH 5... I like the atachments and they fit on the vacuum so nice, I love the tools it has to use to vacuum.

I have owned this vacuum for about a year now, and I still love it. It does a fantastic job of picking up cat hair. It also has really really good suction. I do not need to empty the canister very often, but when I do, it is quick, easy, and does not make a mess. It is very simple to change attachments or switch to the hose while vacuuming as well. I was dubious that a vacuum for such a low price would perform well, but it turned out to quite a bargain! The only thing I do not like about this machine is that it tips over somewhat easily. If I am using the hose, I lean the body up against something so that it doesn't fall over. This vacuum is also very quiet, which is nice for apartment dwellers like myself. The vacuum is easy to maneuver, and I enjoy seeing the unbelievable quantities of stuff it is picking up! The first time I used it I was amazed. I would recommend this vacuum to just about anyone.

I dont even no what to say or where to start. Well first of all I have hardwood floors throughout my house except in a downstairs bedroom and i have a 5by10ft rug in my rec.room. I bought this vacuum because "Hoover" is supposed to be a quality vacuum. Well not this one. It takes me about 10 minutes to vacuum up a small rug because this vacuum has no suction power. The hose is terrible because it does not extend if you try to stretch it out the vacuum falls over and the stair attachment barely rolls it gets stuck on its own and you have to help the rollers spin. Hoover claims according to the box that it works great on hardwood floors well thats a joke because when you roll it across the flo...

Don't waste your money!  Yes, the vaccuum is very attractive looking in it's blue and yellow. It feels heavy and all, but, when vacuuming, it very easily glides over the floor. Takes very little effort. Another pro, is that the suction of the vacuum is very very very good! Does pull the dirt and dust along with other debri up off the carpet very easily.  The handle is able to be adjusted for height and storage, which has allowed us to be able to store in closet without fighting with the clothing hanging up.  There were just a couple of things that I did not like. The first being that it seemed when I vacuumed over the carpet especially the low carpet, the vacuum threw some of the stuff out the back at the bottom. I would have to go over everything a few times just to be sure that I got it all. The other thing that I did not like was the attachement hose. The three pieces tend to come apart while using. They don't stay together very well.  Retails at Walmart at around $100.

Vaccuming has become the reward for cleaning the bathroom!

I love this vacuum! It is light, and picks up amazingly well. I love that the handle raises for my tall husband, but lowers to save closet space.  I also love that it is bag-less...and you can see the dirt filling up. (Ok, the dirt cup does get kinds of shocking.) But the best, best, best part is the drop release on the dirt cup.  On the last bag-less I had, when you jiggled the dirt cup out, you and the clean floor would be wearing all the dirt and dust you just vacuumed up.  This canister has  flap, you hold the cup slightly in your trash can, hit the release and the bottom drops down releasing all the dirt neatly into your can.   Even getting blind sided by my 3 year old didn't get the dirt outside of the trash.

I am also happy with the variety of attachments and the light weight.  

 And a husband eager to vacuum is a total bonus!

Did I mention this retails for $90?

I bought the Hoover Mach 3 vacuum a little over a year ago.  It's not very heavy, but it does a great job!  It's so easy to empty the canister and clean the filters.  It's also very easy to use the hose and then quickly return to the normal vacuum.  It's also very simple to replace the belt.  I am very pleased with this vacuum.  You do have to empty the canister often, but it's so simple to do.  I am able to tell a great difference in the vacuum's efficiency when the canister is full and when it is empty.  Great vacuum!

This vacuum is great. We bought it almost 2 years ago and have not had one complaint about it since! We even had a part on it break and we were able to have Hoover send us the new piece! Great vacuum would recommend to anyone!

it  over heats it gets clogged to easily and the pet hairs get stuck in canister so u have to shake it and get dust and every thing else its a mess nore suction power!when i got it worked and it just went down hill!

Just a fast and honest statement. This Vacuum really does a terrific job! We have three pets(Dog,2cats) I have always vacuumed everyday with the bagged Hoover Vacuum. We got this new Mach 3 (bagless) and WOW what a difference.   It works so well. Picks up the pet hair and you know the carpets are  REALLY getting clean!  It is also so easy to empty  the dirt cup and you can not help but, feel great about all the debries that you see it has picked up. LOVE IT!!!!
