If you are looking for a cheap vacuum to do the job, this hoover fold away is a good option. It was great for me when I was living in a small one bedroom apartment, however, now that I own a home, it's performance left something to be desired. Maneuverability I never had any issue moving the vacuum around. My biggest complaint (and only now because I have a Dyson and am spoiled by their twenty five foot long power cord) is that the cord on the hoover is not very long. I would have to plug it in to every room. Ease of Maintenance It is nice to not have a bag to have to replace and monitor. However, emptying the canister on the hoover fold away always leaves both myself, the trash can and the area around the trash can dusty. It's not a very "clean" vacuum to empty. Suction Performance It gets the job done. It's not great at picking up the tiny dirt. On the flip side, you get what you pay for and for the money, it does a good job. Versatility I sometimes used the attachments, although they don't fit into the holders on the vacuum very well and fall off. I have lost a few attachments because they simply fell off while in a move. Design Storage for attachments needs to be improved. Durability Never any major issues. Belts need replaced on a regular basis.

A short while ago I accidently broke the door that holds the vacuum bad inside, on my old vacuum. I tried using duct tape to hold the door shut. But when I used the vacuum the air would cause the vacuum bag to bulge out and the tape would come loose. So I decided to buy me a new vacuum. I purchased a Hoover Widepath, bagless vacuum. It is a great gadget to have. It has good suction and I do not have to buy vacuum bags. I do purchase a filter about twice a year. But I clean the filter, in between buying one, along with emptying out the canister. The canister is easy to unfasten and empty. The filter is inside the canister, so both are taken off at the same time. It's best to empty the canister outside in a garbage can because it can be messy with all the dust, carpet deodorizer, etc., you can shake out of the filter. But this cleaning is relatively easy. Maneuverability Its not a Dyson or Shark. Ease of Maintenance Just keeping the canister emptied and filter clean or changed is mostly all I have done. Suction Performance It has good suction, even all the carpet fibers. Versatility It's versatile. Design I like the foldaway handle. Durability It has withstood some usage.

I have a Hoover Foldaway bagless Vacuum cleaner and I love it. I have old carpet in my apartment has a habit of collecting dust over night with a lot of hairballs from my long haired cat. The vacuum sucks up the dirt and hairballs great, but the machine has a hard time to get deep into the carpet in low lying areas. Thus I have to lower the machine to ensure the carpet is cleaned well. I like the ability to use a vacuum that requires no bags because it saves money. The best part about this cleaner is the function to fold down the handle. Unlike, the old fashioned machines the handle folds down which allows it to be stored in small places including a closet without a problem. The filter is easily cleansed by running under warm water. I appreciate a vacuum that is light and easy to handle. Maneuverability The vacuum is easy to handle and to use to get into hard to reach places including corners and under furniture. Ease of Maintenance I love the effectiveness and easy to clean components. Suction Performance Has a good suction power considering that I have old carpet and a long haired pet. Versatility Very versatile Design I love the handle to fold down easy to store in small places.

I bought this bagless vaccum here about a couple months ago and am very happy with it. Infact would reccomend it to anyone. It is easy to use and empty. It works great and defently would buy it again. Great too with pets and pet hair cause I have a cat and dog and it picks up the hair great!

I got this Vacuum as a wedding gift and it lasted almost 7 years. It was still working great but I broke the dirt cup and decided I better just buy a new vacuum. Was a very light weight and easy to store. The suction is great! I love my hoover fold away!

The main thing about this vacuum is that it can fold up. That really does nothing. I store the vacuum in my small hall closet, and the vacuum takes up almost half of the floor space. If you buy this for storage, you only should if you have a short wide space. As for the cleaning power. All seems well, for carpets and rugs. It picks up sand, dust, dirt, food crumbs and even glitter. The vacuum can handle large peices of trash too, such as paper and the infamous paper clip! The vacuum has power on its own and really moves with out you, but is not hard at all to control. It bend enough to get the visible area under tables, dressers and suck, but its suction power on the side is weak. It will not get corners unless you separate the nozzle. On hard floors, the debris just gets flung around. Sweeping works best, then vacuum it up. It is like a large dust pan, but has good sucktion for carpets. The filter gets dirty fast, but can be cleaned by hand just by hitting it. It is not hard to transfer the collected mess to the trash bin.

I'm not really a vacuum cleaner kind of guy, but at least I can say with confidence that this is a good deal for its price. With its solid plastic construction, it is durable and handles the abuse it receives from normal use. The Hoover fold-away is light and maneuvarable, even in tight spaces. The handle folds down, but doesn't really decrease the size very much, so the storage saving feature isn't actually addressed. The hose and extension pieces are stowed conveniently, and suit a broad range of surfaces. However, if you're a fan of squeezing into tight spaces to reach even the sneakiest of dirty particles, you may miss the small chisel tip end piece that is not included. The redeeming feature this vacuum possesses is power. You can pick up pretty much anything on the ground, which is what I generally look for in a vacuum cleaner. The adjustable height allows you to to roll easily over any surface. The bagless waste container is easy to remove and clean, and the filter is cheap and easy to replace.

We bought this vacuum six years ago when our second child was born.  The compact size and foldaway handle were the major selling points for buying this.  Plus, it was quieter than some of the other brands.  It is lightweight and easy to port around the house.  In fact, it is ss light that our 6-year old can vacuum.  (although she rarely does).  I like the bagless feature as well because it makes it easy to clean.  The see-through compartment allows you to find the Barbie shoe that just got sucked up because the floor was not always picked up 100%.  That shoe is now dirty, but it is retreiveable.  That is a handy feature when it comes to kids. One downfall is the need to clean the filter regularly.  That is an easy process due to the removable filter.  We simply take the filter outside and knock off the dust and grime.  The filter is regularly available in stores, so they are easy to replace when knocking off the dust is not enough.  A great purchase that has been well-used.

I live in a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, two story condo with carpeting in all rooms but the bathroom and kitchen.  That's a lot of carpet to be vacuuming and, let's face it, who wants to do all that vacuuming when you really could be enjoying your weekend. It might be one thing if I didn't work 50+hours a week.  I mean, I want to spend my weekends with my husband, not with the cleaning supplies/equipment, right? We actually got this Hoover Fold Away from friends of ours who were getting rid of it.  They just moved to a new place that has no carpeting and so she didn't need it.  We are so lucky to have friends like them!  Being that it was a hand-me-down, I wasn't expecting a lot; however, I was completely wowed! Here's what I love about it: Even without the intructional manual, I was easily able to figure everything out.  It is very lightweight!  I have no problem at all carrying it up the stairs while using the extension rod to vacuum those pesky stairs.  The carrying handle is conveniently located to make it easy to carry and well balanced in your hand. It is very simple to use the attachements.  It's as simple as pulling the hose out, putting on the exensions, and getting to work.  No need to even turn the thing off.  It's just as simple to get right back to vacuuming the floors by simply pulling off the attachements and pushing the hose back in the hole and you're on your way! It is very easy to manuever! The bagless canister is VERY simple to detach and empty. This vacuum is very user friendly!  I have found it easily cut my vacuuming time in half. There is only one thing that would cut it down a bit more (other than getting a maid, that is): if the chord were a bit longer.  I find that when vacuuming, I just wish I could go a little bit further.  Adding another 3 feet to the chord would be perfect! That, however, would not be deterent enough for me to not purchase this again (should I ever have the need to do so); but I have a feeling this will be part of our household for a very long time!

I purchased this vaccum in January 2010.  The first few times I used it, I got great results. It was lightweight and almost felt like it controlled itself. I didnt have to make much effort to push the vacuum around.  After about 3 uses I noticed the vacuum was not picking up like it previously had. It still works however it does not perform like it did.  I actually have to use the attachments instead of rolling the vacuum.
