I gained a few pounds because I just haven't had time to eat right or exercise.  I happened to be in Wal-Mart one day and stumbled upon Applied Nutrition 10-Day Hoodia Diet Liquid Soft-Gels 30 ea. They were on clearance for $6.88 which should have been my first clue that they didn't work. I was feeling desperate to lose weight and I, like everyone else, wanted to do it fast.  Hey, this claimed to be a 10-day diet.  That seemed fast enough for me!

The Facts

  • Pack contains 30 diet support, liquid soft-gel capsules
  • Contains hoodia gordonii, an African cactus traditionally used by the San bushmen to counter hunger during their hunting expeditions
  • Liquid soft-gel capsules are fast-acting and are absorbed up to 200% faster, so bioavailability and potency are increased
  • Includes 100% pure Green Tea extract and five other botanicals and nutrients with lipotropic properties that enhance the metabolism of lipids and fats in the body
  • Applied Nutrition products contain a variety of antioxidants and detoxifying ingredients to renew, edify and revitalize the body's natural processes

My Experience

Well, I was excited to try these diet pills because I heard so much about Hoodia and how it is supposed to work so good.  I did exactly as the box instructed and took one liquid soft-gel three times a day with full glasses of water.  I didn't really feel much with the first pill but by the second, my heart started to pound.  I realized it was the caffeine and tried to ride it out.  By the third pill, my heart was literally racing and I couldn't sleep.  The next day I figured I would give it another try but skip the third pill.  I actually felt really hungry and my heart was racing again. I did sleep better that night but I was still hungry.  For the next few days I continued but couldn't handle the hunger or my heart racing.  I weighed myself and I actually gained a pound.  At this point, I stopped the pills and decided to look up some information on the internet.  I found that most Hoodia diet pills on the market today are not the real thing.  Real Hoodia products are very expensive.  I am guessing that the Applied Nutrition 10-Day Hoodia Diet Liquid Soft-Gels 30 ea. that I purchased for $6.88 is obviously just a cheap imitation.

My Final Viewpoint

These diet liquid soft-gels did not work for me and I am highly suspicious that they are the real deal.  I don't recommend them and am giving them a 1 star rating.

You have to take one 30min BEFORE eating for them to work

I just read that 80% of products that claim to contain Hoodia are either not Hoodia at all or are a thinning out version mixed with other ingredients.

Don't trust any OTC drugs or supplements though. The side effects are just not worth it.

A couple of years back, I tried Stacker 2 and Trimspa (separate occasions). Only gave each of them a 30 day run, but didn't really find the miracle cure. Pills, schmills......they don't work.

I hate the high caffeine in most of the diet pills.
