Hood College is an incredible institution. The education I received there is invaluable and I wouldn't trade it for anything. My professors were amazingly inspirational and I will never forget them. I learned more than I could have ever imagined during my time at Hood and I enjoyed it so much that I wish I could do it all over again. My classes were phenomenal and I also had the opportunity to study abroad, which truly widened my perspective of my life and of the world. read full review »I graduated a few years ago and though there have been no doubt more changes to the campus since I left (mid-coed transition), I think it's still a great place to get an education if you're looking for a small campus, individual attention from professors, and a supportive social network.
I'm moderately liberal and so I may not have noticed as much an attitude toward conservative students that the previous reviewer mentioned, but I think that there are professors there on all points of the liberal-conservative spectrum and certain classes (poli sci, sociology) those opinions may come out. read full review »I enjoyed and was frustrated by my time at Hood. On the one hand, I really enjoyed the attention some professors gave to the liberal arts. On the other hand, It was frustrating that most were also extremely politically and theologically liberal as well. With the exception of a hand-full of professors, many were extremely antagonistic towards conservative Christians, taking every opportunity to revile them in class (usually because they knew that no one would talk back).
