Summer Nights Are Much More Enjoyable Now!

4

During the day the bees, wasps and hornets are all over the place and I try my hardest to avoid them. At night moths and mosquitoes are what usually end up driving everyone inside. I have tried a couple of bug zappers in the past and their were either too loud when turned on (a constant humming sound) or they weren't strong enough to attract insects in the area. When I got this there were a couple of different Stinger units available but I liked the size and shape of this compared to the others. Even though this cost more than all of the other bug zappers on the shelf at the time, it was the one that was most recommended. Even a stranger that was in the aisle when I was reading the boxes for the zappers said that it was the only one that ever worked on his patio. After hearing that I was sold on it and bought one. This takes almost no time to set up but you are going to want to have replacement bulbs for it; this uses a black light bulb to attract insects as well as lure to attract mosquitoes. I did have to buy a replacement lure for this in the middle of the summer but it was more than worth it. This isn't loud when it is running and because it is using a black light instead of a regular white bulb it isn't something that looks out of place on a patio or deck at night. This can be hung or used on a table; it automatically shuts off when the sensor detects daylight so if you accidentally leave it on it isn't going to be running for days on end. You will have to turn it back on the following night though but you can see the "power on" status light clearly.
