Solid little heater for keeping a small room warm

Comments about Honeywell Portable QuickHeat Ceramic Heater:

While I would not recommend this heater for anything more than taking a chill off if you're looking to heat a large space, this little heater does work really well for quickly heating a small to medium-sized room. I used it every day in a chilly office (where the vent system did not work properly) and it would always heat the space up in under five minutes. The oscillation option did break after about two years of use, but it still heats. Now we use it to take the chill off in a large, open (very drafty!) family room. It doesn't fully heat it, but it does help take the edge off.

Durability
Oscillator stopped working after about two years of use.

Safety
Shuts off pretty consistently if you tip it.

Nice Little Heater

By

from Girard, PA

Comments about Honeywell Portable QuickHeat Ceramic Heater:

I purchased two of these Honeywell Space Heaters - one for me & one for my elderly aunt. The main reason is this heater automatically shuts off if it is tipped over or if it is too close to an object. The heater slides on its base which adjusts the tilt to direct the heat. The large knob in front adjusts the temperature setting.  The lowest setting is a "frost watch". This heater is intended to heat a small area, not a large room. Even though the packaging says not to use it in bathrooms, that is where I use mine. The bathroom has 2 outside walls, so it gets a little chilly in the winter. I turn it on for a few minutes while showering & it takes the chill out. It heats quite well 2 to 3 feet out. I've never had it at its highest setting and it will still heat the room nicely. (Actually, if I am standing within a foot in front of the fan, it becomes too hot.) The fan isn't excessively loud, although you know when it is running. There is an indicator light in front to remind you it is plugged in, which is helpful when the fan has cycled off. I've had this fan about 2 years now & it is still running & heating well.
