Small but mighty

We have an older house with only one A/C vent in our long living room. This little fan alone kept cold air circulating throughout the room all summer long, keeping everyone cool! There are three speeds, and often, only letting the air flow through on medium or low speed was enough to keep the room cool. After a year, this fan is still quiet and efficient- you can hardly hear it on the lowest setting and while somewhat noisy at high speed, it is not distracting. The head is fully adjustable in 180 degrees, and while it does not oscillate, it isn't necessary. You don't need this fan blowing directly on you, by having it push cold air up into the room from floor level, it creates enough of a breeze to cool the entire room. The only downside is that it is not safe around little ones who would put their fingers into the fan- it has openings wide enough for adult fingers, never mind little kids! Update: Sadly, this fan simply died one day- we went to turn it on and nothing happened. There was no warning, no strange noises or smells, it just quit working. It worked great for ~1.5 years and then just stopped.

Great Honeywell Fan!

This black Honeywell floor fan is a great buy and I'd highly recommend it! Our home does not have air conditioning, so this fan literally saved our lives last summer! We had it on constantly. The only con is that I wish it were more powerful, but I will say that the next size up of this same fan IS more powerful. But this smaller version worked well for us and it fit on top of different end tables and dressers that the bigger one would not have fit on top of, so we really liked that about it. Summer is almost here again and we are so glad that we have this Honeywell fan to save us from the sweltering heat! It's a great product and I highly recommend it! It isn't too expensive and gets the job done.

Honeywell fan is small and powerful

I got this fan to use primarily as cooling air for my indoor treadmil and bicycle. It's small and compact, and has 3 speed settings, and is pretty darn fast on even the lowest setting. This wouldn't be a good choice for gently circulating air. I rarely use it above the 2nd speed. The cord is rather short, not even 4 feet it seems, so it can't go too far from an outlet. Other than those gripes, it's a very useful item. It moves a lot of air for it's small size, and doesn't get too loud for it, all things considered. It has a sturdy base and a tilting mount, so it can - and should - be well aimed. It has a very narrow airflow, so if if's not pointed directly at you, it's not doing much good. Again, this is more suited for focused use - cooling a person on a treadmill, blowing air in/out of a small window, etc. I like the fan, it was inexpensive and does it's job of focused air movement very well. It's not the type of fan I would leave running often, but that's not what it's designed for I think. After 3 years it's held up very well, running as good as the day I first got it. If you need an air blower, this is a good choice.

Sturdy fan, won't tip easily

We have used this fan all summer long for three years and it still runs great. We live in a mid-sized apartment with no air conditioning, so we rely on fans to help circulate air and keep us cool. This fan isn't as powerful as some of the others it's size, but it is quiet and VERY sturdy. It also has a really good guard to keep little fingers from getting to the fan blades, which is important when you use it in rooms with toddlers. Of course, don't let them be unsupervised around any electronic hazards, or strangling hazards. This fan only comes in the color black and the base that it sits on is very wide. It keeps it pretty sturdy on a surface like a table to circulate air up higher. Because of this thicker base, it doesn't angle up or down at a sharp angle like some other fans.

The Honeywell is great for the office

I was looking for an inexpensive fan one day, and while shopping this one screamed out at me: "Buy Me!".  So I listened to that little voice in my head and thought "ehh, why not?"  Boy do am I glad I listened.  I began to use it at my home office, but I have a ceiling fan directly over me and A/C, so it didn't really do much for me.  But my office at work on the other hand, which for some reason fluctuates from unbearably cold to sweltering hot in the manner of minutes, was the perfect place to break it out.  It's small size fits perfectly on the corner of my desk, while the design is attractive enough that it doesn't look out of place.  It has 3 speeds, which is perfect for my office, as I often have to change it from slow to turbo randomly throughout the day.  It is very quiet, well compared to the rest of the office that is, and is not a distraction to myself or others.  I recommend it to all who are looking for a cheap way to get cool.
