Honey Hill Coffee Company - Wauconda, IL Review

The Honey Hill Coffee Company brought great coffee, a variety of espresso drinks, an assortment of hot and cold teas and delightful baked goods to the small town of Wauconda. The owner, Patrick Cribben, bakes fresh cakes and other treats daily. He is on hand to prepare made to order drinks Monday through Saturday.

Visitors to the shop can choose the Honey Hill Blend in regular or decaf or an unlimited selection of espresso drinks. My personal favorite is an extra large (20 oz) vanilla latte with an extra shot of espresso that has just the right amount of foam on top. It is hard choosing from the selection of sweets such as buttery, flaky scones, cinnamon crunch cake, pistachio cake, pumkin squares, chunky apple muffins, and a decadent chocolate cake covered in ganache.

If you do not have to rush off, take your drink and dessert to the charming, cozy seating area just beyond the coffee bar. There are tables, a sofa, and comfy chairs. The walls are adorned with work from local artists that is available for purchase. And, more than likely, you will run into an old friend or make a new one!
