Honda Fit - 2008 Review Summary

The 2008 Honda Fit gets two thumbs up from our reviewers, who only have minor complaints about the Honda Fit. Owners love this small car because it rocks when it comes to fuel economy. The ’08 Honda Fit gets an average of 35 mpg, is cute, sporty and roomy! The downside mentioned most on the Fit was the horsepower being on the low side, and no passenger door locks. However, everything else on the Honda Fit 2008 seems to make up for these downfalls. Want to see what else Honda has to offer?

We just bought our Fit a few weeks ago.   Love it!!!  The adjustable seating is so easy even our ten year old can do it.  It looks very small on the outside but has a surprising amount of room on the inside.  It idles smoothly, rides smoothly.  We can feel the bumps a little more but we did switch from a minivan so that's to be expected.  The one complain I have is that it doesn't have automatic door locks on the passanger side but that is a fairly small thing.  The gas mileage is great, our salesman was fantastic and we couldn't be happier.  We bought the base version.

In June 2008 I purchased my first Honda, a 2008 Honda Fit Sport.  I was replacing a 1996 Sable which had been totalled by a deer the previous month. I have a 60 mile round trip daily commute.  Safety, reliability, and fuel economy were my major stipulations.  I did a lot of on-line research before going to any dealerships.  The fact that Consumer Reports had evaluated this model as a Best Buy was a big point for me.

The first thing that struck me about the Honda Fit was how roomy it is and how large the windows are.  Visibility is wonderful.  My husband is 6'2" and has plenty of leg and...

I recently drove just under 300 miles on one tank of gas.  The car is comfortable, roomy, and has a great sound system for a car. The price was right and I really needed a new car.

I bought my 2008 Honda Fit in July '08 when gas for $4.00 a gallon. I wanted gas mileage as least as good as my 1998 Honda Civic EX coupe. It was still running great and working as my "dog car", 3 midsized hounds riding to a dog park three times a week. It's a bright blue baby SUV. I drove the Yaris and Matrix, but did not like the interiors but the roominess of the FITwas just right. I have the sports model so it has a spoiler and what else I'm not really sure. It's my first automatic in decades, but has the option of standard transmission so that's fun. My 88-year-old mother had been in a wheelchair...

Our 2008 Honda Fit Sport is a great little car.  We bought it when gas was so high a little over a year ago.  This is a fantastic little car that has a lot of interior room.  We have gotten as much as 41 miles per gallon on trips and do better than 30 miles per gallon just around town, etc.  The four cylinder engine is peppy for a small car.  It's no speed demon but gets you from point A to B very well.  Ours has the automatic transmission.

The rear foldup or lay down seats are a nice feature.  My second vehicle is a truck but sometimes I think I can almost haul as many items in this little...

I bought my 2008 Honda Fit Sport edition back in October 2007.  It is my first brand new car and I absolutely love it!  Shopped around looking at different cars in this price range and found that overall this car had what I wanted.  It has more room than my mom's Civic, and my husband, who is 6'2" can ride in it without smacking his head on the ceiling.  The mileage is pretty good.  I usually get between 28 and 32 mpg, and I'm not a speed demon, but do drive a bit over the speed limit.  The best thing about it is how small, and yet how big it is.  And compared to the Toyota Yaris 2 door...

This car is awesome. I have three kids and can fit one in a car seat one in a small booster and an older child in the back seat! It gets an average of 36 miles to the gallon and is an awesome car. I can't say enough. It has lots of leg and head room it looks small from the outside but on the inside it is very spacious. It gets GREAT gas mileage both in the city and on the road trips. It is comfortable as well. For the money brand new (under 14k) you can't beat this car.

I've been driving a Honda Fit for a couple of months now and absolutely love it! It's amazing how much you can put in this thing! It's also fun to drive and get's great gas mileage. I was a bit worried that the seats would be uncomfortable, but we've gone on long drives and have been pleasantly surprised. This car is perfect for someone who wants a small car with great gas mileage, but needs a lot of cargo space.

2008 Honda Fit is the cutiest small car there is. It has a lot of cargo room in the back. All the chair could be folded to provide the must space possible. The car also have all side air bag and ABS. The car is great for gas milage. This car is not pushing much horsepower on it 1.5 liter engine but due to its small size it is able to pull with force. This car is a great buy for daily commuter.

We bought this car not knowing what it was but noticing it on the car lot. We took it for a test drive and fell in love. If we were to do it again the only thing we would change is we would get a manual instead of an automatic. I know someone with a stick and they get atleast 5miles to the gallon more then we do.
