One passenger found the engine switching to battery annoying saying the Honda Civic Hybrid would then start to roll, but that sounds like someone needs to learn how to drive and put a foot on the brake at stops! My husband has this car. It is very comfortable to drive. The car perform mch better on highway than streets. It has been averaging 38mpg. I like that the car's engine will mostly auto turn off at a stop sign, red light, or stuck in traffic. That means no pollution coming out of the tailpipe....

We recently bought the 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid. We bought it used, but haven't looked back. We were able to haggle a little on the price since it was used. But I will say it was the only used civic hybrid is all of Atlanta. They are still so hard to find.
Driving in Atlanta is very stop and go and driving at low speeds for work commutes. This car averages 37 mpg (this is stop and go average, not highway). That is really good. Of course it does better when cruising, wether it be highway or in town. We recently drove 398 miles on one 11 gallon tank.
In this car we have 2 car seats - one infant carrier...
