Honda Civic EX - 2002 —

This car has been my baby.  It is so good to me.  I am a college student so I have limited income because I have less time to work so I have economically conscious.

People I know envy my car.  I have had no BIG problems with it but I have had a few wear and tear problems.  I just hit 90,000 miles. It usually gets 30-32 MPG.  I usually drive it on the highway and I know it starts shaking at 80-90 mph but practically when do you need a car to go that fast?  The car has a beautiful shape and color.  Automatic doors, windows, and sunroof the usual :-P.

The only reason I have thought it would be nice to have a bigger car is when the winter hits and well lake effect in WNY and a honda civic don't get along.  I always keep a shovel in my car during the winter, but it is part of living in the area.  The car can fit 4 comfortably and 5 if needed.  The back seat in the sedan is spacious I have brought all my things to college in that car so even though you wouldn't think it you can fit a lot in it.  The trunk is what you would expect for a sedan.

The cd player overheats if used for 6 hours straight on a summer day. The interior and exterior is easily cleaned.  A car wash and a vaccuum is all it needs.

The repairs and maintenance seem standard and not obsurd.  I have no basis of comparison since it is my first car.

I have never gotten into an accident with her. She has nice breaks and acceleration.  It's not built for racing but it can be pushed to its limits if needed.

I overall love this car and assuming you are too picky it is a solid reliable car.  It is great especially for a first car.  Any of the honda's seem reliable assuming you aren't stupid with them.

If your car is shaking at that speed, you most likely need to get the allignment fixed or have your wheel weights rebalanced. That should fix it.
