Honda Civic - 2007 —

The re-invented Civic Si has yet to displease. Lets start with the Body: The body is completly aerodynamic from its standard "thin" bodied design all the way back to the Si exclusive wing spoiler. The car cuts through air like a samurai sword overdosed on VTEC pills!! Next the suspension: The car sits remarkably high off the ground so I highly reccomend purchasing the Honda Factory Performance suspension kit. The kit lowers the Si approximately .96". The only issue I've run into is the suspension in the rear completly destroys a set of tires. I've found that the negative camber in the rear will lead the owner to

purchasing a camber Kit.(I reccomend Skunk2 Galvonized arms), as well as purchasing 2 new Michelin Pilot tires at 10,000 miles. Honda has issued a TSB(technical Service Bulletin) with a fix for this issue. However... it does not apply to the Si model. Don't bother asking American Honda for help because unless you work in they're service department for a big name dealer they basically tell you to pound sand. Due to the Si riding just under a foot off the ground Honda also has manufactured the HFP ground effects kit containing a front and rear lip, and two side skirts. The kit is acceptionally stylish however not well built. The rear

lip does not mount to the bumper flush and the 3m tape often loses the adherance quickly leaving the kit fitting loose in some areas(Not good if your a detail freak). Next, the braking

system: the 4 disc anti-lock braking system stops this car on a dime. I've recently driven a Boosted Civic and stopping with stock brakes. I had no problem slowing this well tuned machine. My favorite part of the Si is the suspension especially with the upgraded springs. This car handles close to better than the s2000. This car in no match for winding road street races. The car can do better with sway bars however the body flex is nearly existant.

Inside the Civic sits an all black interior with SI logos in each front racing style bucket seats, a unique race inspired Gauge cluster with the oh so the shit digital speedo featuring a red

shift light(flashes at about 7800 RPMS). The interior also features a leather wrapped steel

shift knob and steel racing pedals.

Honda offers a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty bumper to bumper warranty. Honda also offers an extended Vehicle Service Contract which I must say is 10 times better than any independant extended warranty company.
