When It became obvious that our 1995 Jeep Cherokee was nearing the end of its days and the last payment on our Isuzu Axiom was within weeks of being paid we decided to become serious about finding its replacement.

It wasn't really all that difficult since we had been researching and test driving the likely successors for some time.  We had decided that we were going to go with either a Toyota or Honda SUV.  We also decided that it was time once again to down-size.  I mean we didn't think gasoline was ever going to be a bargain again and our family size of three wasn't likely to change.  So,...

I was looking to purchase a new car, in the $20k range, and preferrably a small SUV for commuting to weddings when the roads haven't been snow plowed yet (I'm a wedding photographer).  Also wanted something for the future when I have children of my own, and cannot bend down to put a child into a car seat.    I had many plans on purchasing the new Toyota RAV 4, but when it came down to the day of purchase, I went with the Honda CRV.  Great choice!  Both are excellent choices for small SUV, but when I included everything that I wanted (6 disc cd, moonroof, etc), the RAV4 ended up being $4k... review »

I bought my Honda CR-V a year ago and it has been one of the best purchase that I have made.  It is affordable, it's fun, it's comfortable and I love it.  I am a single female and it gives me the space I need.  I have two wonderful large dogs and they can just hop in the backseat and they have room to lay down.  I can fit my friends in it and the truck is large enough to fit my bags after a long afternoon of shoping.  The car is very comfortable to drive, it has a great CD-player/audio system.  I have a sunroof, radio control on the steering wheel.  I think the car is cute and very stylish. ...

Another Honda Blowout- the new CR-V!!!
Anyone who likes SUVs but get intimidated by the large gas-guzzlers will love this newest one.
It is not a Hugh SUV but packs the size, shape and now Power for everyone.
I own a 2000 model when my Corrola got totalled and have been in love with this car.

It is very safe and gives better than average milage for the gas-consious.
I still get 20+ miles/gallon.

This one is the best ever shape and style I have seen from Honda.

The most lovable min-SUV ever.

The 2007 Honda CRV is a great car for the money.  It is stylish and fun, plus it is easy to drive.  Both my husband and I use it and we cannot believe how great the gas mileage is.  The car lets you know how many miles you are getting per gallon which really helps the driver remain conscience of efficiency.  It appears much smaller than it is meaning that it is easy to park yet great to put things in.  This car is great to take camping or to the grocery store.  Very practical all in all.

The Honda CRV provides a comfortable ride and allows for great gas mileage.  Imagine a 4-cylinder SUV.  I like it because I am stil gettign the capacity of a large vehicle but with the gas efficiency of a smaller car.

The body style has defnitely improved from the older models as well.  The adjustable arm rests make it easy for everyone to fit in.  The rear back door opens by a one touch button and is very spacious.  The CRV also has the convenience of cruise control.

I love my new Honday CR-V i've had it for 7 months and after selling my 1992 Honda Civic I was excited to get something more sporty. I LOVE driving and no longer mind traffic that much.

The look is stylish and I love that the back hatch opens up, not to the side.

The 2007 Honda CR-V is a fun car to drive and is a solid performer. I've test driven the second generation CR-V which had a fairly rough ride with more road noise. I actually like the idea that Honda no longer is trying to pass this car off as an off-road SUV; it isn't. The 2007 CR-V has a smoother ride with less road noise. It is much more practical than any sedan. The audio options are nearly endless. My favorite option is the memory card reader. I use a compact flash card with a PC card adapter. It's a great way to keep all my mp3's with me. The interface is not as nice as an iPod, but it does...

After my sedan began having engine troubles we went in search of a new vehicle that was dependable, cost conscious, comfortable and family friendly.  We found all this in the Honda CR-V.  We opted for the EX-L after the only EX on the lot had very light colored interior that would have never stood up to a busy toddler.  I'm so glad we went with the leather, it's comfortable and not too hot in the summer.  The seat warmers have been great in the cooler weather.  We also splurged on the Navigator package and it has really come in handy.  With an active toddler in the car, it's great to help...

The Honda CRV is a great SUV. It was the first SUV I ever bought and the first brand new car I had ever bought. Before going out to buy the car I did  alot of research online about the SUV and compared it to other vehicals like it. It got the best cas milage in its class and had the best handling. My husband and I then went down on a Friday evening just to "look" at the CRV in person. My husband who is over 6' tall was able to sit in the backseat with head room to spare. This SUV has so much room in it. I love the feature of the seats being able to fold up to create more cargo room or only having...

This is my second Honda CRV and I can't say enough good things about it!  Honda itself has an excellent reputation and with the newly redesigned 2007 they have outdone themselves. More sleek and stylish than the older model, it's a perfect height size. You're high enough to see what's going on ahead of you but you don't need a step ladder to get in!  Very comfortable seats, front and rear cup holders, fold down tray between the front seats, good stereo system, and plenty of cargo room.  Great decision to remove the ugly spare tire from the back of the hatch to underneath the cargo floor too! ... review »

I love my Honda CR-V!  The 2007 was the first year of the new design and I paid for it because the dealers weren't dealing at all, but it's been worth the money.  I have the EX-L trim package.  This is my first Honda and I am very happy.  I had two minivans prior to my CR-V and didn't want to "sit on the ground" in a car.  This allows me to sit "up" but is still smaller than a minivan and suits my needs very well.  I average around 24 mpg between highway and city driving.

I as you know I am a mechanic for Honda and give an honest opinion (refer to bad rating on Honda civic DX) .But however I am truly floored at how well built the CRV was built! I have yet to see any problems with any of them including any of the earlier models. I have not replaced an engine or transmission on any! I would definatly recommend this to anybody . If only Honda put this energy into design into the other models the honda myth of perfection would be true! What am I saying I need the work!

We got the Honda CRV because of the design upgrade.  The car drives great.  Its barely bigger than a full size car (sometimes it is acctually smaller in length).  Plenty of room when you need it.  The only think I would have like was power seats (the new models have this for the driver's side).  There is no other car in its class that looks as nice - you would need to step up to the luxury class to find one.
