Honda Accord - 2005 Review Summary

2005 Honda Accord owners all rave about the safety, reliability and good gas mileage this hybrid gets, as well as bragging on the performance on the road. One reviewer stated that it handles like a sports car with a conscience. If you are looking for a good overall hybrid, the Honda Accord is certainly worth a trip to the dealer for a test drive. The Accord rates high with our reviewers with only a few minor negative things to say about the 2005 Honda Accord which include expensive tires when they need replacing and a somewhat noisy ride. Owners still favor the ’05 Honda Accord over other hybrids such as the 2005 Toyota Prius.

This honda has again, lived up to my standards of honda.  Love the car.  Very comfortable.  Only design that I do not like is on the center console where the radio and a/c burttons are positioned. Live in FL, would have liked the a/c button to be the bigger one!  Other than that...LOVE LOVE LOVE this car!

I love this car. I think Honda did it right with the Accord Hybrid. It has everything anyone could want in a car, minus one thing... no stock bluetooth. I will be writing another review for my solution to that... Anyhow, I bought this car last year as a sales person myself. I was going out for a dealer swap and had to follow another sales person to our destination. I instantly fell in love. This car has 255hp, full leather, alloy rims, auto/dual climate control, XM, navigation, voice control, homelink, power everything, comfortable seats, plenty of trunk, easily maintained, and drives like a sports... review »

This is a wonderful car.  Very reliable and great on gas mileage.  I go home from college every weekend which is about an hour on the interstate and have done this for almost two years with this car.  Great gas mileage and safety.  Lots of airbags which is why my parents bought it for me because of the safety.  Had to get use to driving this car because I was driving a sports car before this so it was a big change.  No problems with the car except one time the battery died in my garage for no known reason: no lights were left on, no car door was left open, was strange but the dealership said... review »

I purchased my 2005 Honda Accord Coupe (V6, 6-speed manual transmission) in late 2004.  I have always been the type to get tired of a car after about 2 or 3 years and I start looking for a new one... not so this time.  I love this car.  It is fun to drive, it is very attractive, and I get about 28 miles to the gallon during my everyday driving.  I constantly have people telling me how much they like my car... the lady at McDonald's is practically drooling every time she sees it.  My two labs even enjoy riding in the back seat (I throw a blanket down to keep them from ripping the leather seats)....

This Honda Hybrid has great acceleration, is very quiet and smooth.  I have been averaging 38-43 miles per gallon but I watch to make sure the "eco" light is on when I am driving to maximize the mileage.  This "eco" light has re-trained me as a driver!  The seats are roomy and definately designed for larger humans.  I am very short and the seat length is uncomfortable on long trips without a pillow at my back.  In other words, the seat cuts me off past the knee so my legs don't bend normally when sitting in these seats.  The adjustable power seat in the Accord hybrid helps and was the reason... review »

I purchased this car used in May '07.  It had about 29,000 miles on it, but it still had the new car smell.  It is equipped with most of the "bells and whistles" except for a sunroof.  Very smooth acceleration.  I get about 33 miles per gallon highway and I would probably get more, if I would do the speed limit.  : )  This car runs really quiet, when you are stopped at a light; you can barely tell it's running.  However, it does have a tendency to "lurch" when the engine kicks in.  And at highway speeds, you do hear road noise.  Honda could have done a better job with the insulation. ... review »

I love this car so much.  I really dont think I will be purchasing a new car anytime soon. n I bought my 2005 Honda Accord sedan used in 2008.  I have wanted one for more than 10 years.  I get great gas mialage and it is a very comfortable ride.  You do hear some road noise while driving but the overall comfort is well worth it.  I dont think the price of the tires are that much.  My kids love to ride in it and are comfortable in the back seat.  Also, my 15 year old has her permit and has been learning to dirve in this car.  She really likes the feel of it.  The car is not too big or too...

I've had my 2005 Honda Accord now for 2.5 years and I absolutely love it!  I've owned a 1990 Honda Accord before and it lasted up to 365,000 miles, and that's when I sold it!  This car has all the comfy amenities that a person needs.  I enjoy the sunroof when it's sunny.  The seat warmer is absolutely necessary in the winter! Even my daughter loves it!  The engine is great and picks up fast when I want it to.  The gas mileage is great too.  The only thing I wish it had was more room, but it's a sedan, not a van.  It's body style and interior layout is beautiful.  I recommend a Honda to... review »

My husband and I pay cash for our cars, so we needed a good value.  We found a 2005 Honda Accord that had been leased and so we were able to buy it for a good price.  We've had it for a year and have had NO problems with it AT ALL.  We took a trip up and down the east coast right after we bought it and have since made several trips from Florida to Tennessee and back again.  Our kids are comfortable in the back seat and have plenty of room.  It has a good bit of trunk room, too.  It also drives very smoothly.  We both really like our Honda Accord.

The 2005 Accord EX is a great car for the price.  It has a smooth engine and Transmission and it's very comfortable. I bought it new and all I've had to do is change the oil and rotate the tires in 4 years.  Never a problem with it.  I've owned many cars in the past but this one gives you the best bang for your buck.  Yes, you could spend 10-15k more and get something  sexier, but why?

I love my 2005 Honda Accord.  You can get them for a really great price.   I recently just got 370 miles to my gas tank.  You really get good gas mileage for the price that you can get this car.  It is a very comfortable car.  Many cars get pretty loud inside while you're driving, but this car is pretty quiet inside.  I love this car and I would recommend it to anyone!

I've had this car for almost 3 years.  I've been a Honda owner since 1995 and I don't think I'll make a switch anytime soon.  My ex model is very reasonable in gas, very comfortable (leather seats are softer and more comfortable then my friend's BMW who ended buying an Accord after her lease expired.)  So far I've only needed oil changes, and it has almost 55K miles!

We were deciding between a Jetta and the Accord, and are very happy we went with the Accord.  It does a long daily community and gets 32+ mpg.  We have had the car for 2 years now and have not needed any type of work done on it.  The dealership was friendly and helpful, and not at all pushy, and the price was definitely right.

I traded in my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee for this car when my son was 6 days old. Not one day goes by that I'm not completely ecstatic that I made that decision. It's so comfortable, quite, reliable and it's good looking too! If you're looking for an in-expensive family car, this is definetly worth your purchase.
