Honda Accord - 2005 —

I love this car. I think Honda did it right with the Accord Hybrid. It has everything anyone could want in a car, minus one thing... no stock bluetooth. I will be writing another review for my solution to that... Anyhow, I bought this car last year as a sales person myself. I was going out for a dealer swap and had to follow another sales person to our destination. I instantly fell in love. This car has 255hp, full leather, alloy rims, auto/dual climate control, XM, navigation, voice control, homelink, power everything, comfortable seats, plenty of trunk, easily maintained, and drives like a sports car with a conscience. All of this put together with Honda safety and reliability. I put alot of city miles on this car, and given it doesn't quite match EPA estimates in that category (I'm also a heavy accelerator/braker), I get well over the highway mileage. If you just drive like you normally would, you will get better than current year 4 cylinder vehicles in the same category, and it's a 255hp V6 baby!! This is not the civic hybrid or the prius category of course, but when comparing to toyota's and nissan's hybrids, this blows them out of the competition. I work for Toyota Service department now, and let me tell you, you don't want one of theirs. =P
Alas, the one problem with this car is lack of bluetooth, but every other gadget is here, including a trip computer that gives you your instantaneous as well as average mpg. Sadly as much as I love this car, it has been discontinued starting with 2008 year models. So the last ones you can get is the 2007, which does have one up on the 05's... a sunroof. Personally I don't miss it, and the reason they left it out of the earlier model according to Honda R&D is that it added too much drag and reduced fuel economy originally. They're all about optimization, plus, this car doesn't require you to memorize an insane startup procedure just to get your car out of the driveway...(like the prius, cough).
Take my two cents for what you will, but I definitely saved well more than that...
