More than academics... SO much more

every day is different, parent, a good test taker, willing to learn

can learn more in depth, For people that doesnt have time, variety of methods, No Attendance Problems, get sick less often, you can study on you own time, Adult concern for the children, less expensive, easier to take vacations, more individual attention, No Drugs, No getting shot and killed at school, No Peer Pressures, personalized, One on One teaching, progress at own pace, Good health lunches, take child to social type places, Fieldtrips to all the best places, safer than public school, Experiences beyond classrooms, Proven faster and higer results, can bring family closer

Homeschooling —

Homeschooling is more than academic advancement. That happens just because it is so hard to avoid learning in the real world. School is more than academics, too. It's a place where children lose their innocence. A place where they are offered drugs, bullied, passed along year after year whether they comprehend what is being taught or not. A place where very few adults care about them. A place where kids learn that to get ahead, they have to flatter, cheat, lie,etc.

Homeschool so kids learn how to really learn. Homeschool so they don't get shot by a crazy with a gun. Homeschool so your kid isn't bullied into becoming a crazy with a gun. Homeschool because it will really show your kid that caring is okay. Homeschool for the fieldtrips. Homeschool for safety. Homeschool so that your kid can learn to read and do math. Homeschool to help them realize that peers don't matter and therefore there is no such thing as peer pressure. Homeschool so they can learn to get along with people of all ages. Homeschool so they can learn even if they get the chicken pox.

Homeschool for volunteer opportunities. Learning opportunities that are everywhere. Homeschool because you can't learn everything from a textbook or workbook. Homeschool because you know your kid better than the teachers. Homeschool because you love your kid more than any other person in the world possibly could love your kid - except the kid's other parent of course :-)
