About Homescan:
I was completing surveys for cash on-line for over a year when I was contacted by Homescan and invited to become a home scanner. The company representative explained all the details to me and I decided to join.
The Pros:
I was sent a bar-code scanner, a welcome notebook, a sheet of bar-codes for items that won't scan, USB cable that is capable with all computers and support documentation. You get to purchase the items you would normally purchase, scan the items and transmit the report weekly to earn points. I am earning 225 points each week for transmitting my purchases.
You can also complete surveys to earn extra points and often your entire family is invited. This great because each person that completes the survey adds points to your account. Surveys usually earn 200-300 points per survey. The more you transmit the more chances you have to win prizes in addition to your points. I enjoy shopping and this is a fun way to earn free things for my household. I usually save my points up until mid-fall and redeem them for Christmas gifts. The company really sends the items out promptly too. The last selections arrived in about 2 weeks. What a great way to earn free gifts for Christmas huh?
When I shop, I have learned which shops are linked to www.homescan.com and this makes scanning even easier. I shop at Winn-Dixie and Harvey's Supermarket for this reason. The items you purchase there do not have to have the prices entered only the quantity purchased. The scanner even takes frequent shopper cards, discounts and coupons into consideration and allows you to enter those as well. This is a great way to let the companies know what items are purchased by families similar to mine in this area. I have noticed that some of the items that were not at one store but at another are now available at both locations. Could this be a coincidence?
Cons:
I haven't had any problems with the company and I really enjoy the wide selection of gifts in the catalog. The only negative think I can think of would be the waiting list that you have to get on based on your demographic location. I didn't have that problem but one of my friends is waiting to become a member.
What are you waiting for?
No experience is necessary to join. Everyone knows how to shop right?
Go to www.homescan.com and get started earning points for your family. Remember, you might be placed on a waiting list, so the sooner your sign up the sooner you can be scanning those shops and letting your voice be heard too.
