Homescan is a great service to the nation by letting manufacturers know who is buying their products, for how much, and how often.
They send you a scanner, charts for store IDs, places to scan for on vacation, ill, need a break, etc.
You shop, return home and unpack scanning everything you bought with store ID first, then all the UPC codes off the items. You may be asked prices on products. Stores like Sears have their own codes on pricetags, so you scan off a card for apparel then add the price.
Remember even treats, they want to know the store, the UPC off it & the price. Then you send the info weekly via a USB cord they send to you that attaches to the scanner.
Yes, these are the Neilsens who have folks watching TV for them. NOT US!
