I have a collapsable steam basket, a pot, and a stick blender!  Why buy food when you can make it?  I agree!  There are mesh bags with handles, so you can feed your baby fresh steamed veggies without worries, too! — I usually steam veggies, mix a little of the water from the pot if it needs to be thinned out, portion them into ice cube trays, put plastic wrap over the food and freeze it!  It retains a lot of the nutrients and it's perfectly portioned!  It's that easy!  And takes almost no time at all! — Plus, it's a great way to get variety… read full review »

I bought baby food in jars for a long time, but then it occurred to me...why not make my own? It would probably be most healthy to get raw foods and steam them and blend them up yourself, but I didn't have time to do all that, so I bought canned veggies and put them in my mini food processor with some water and blended them until they were baby food consistency. Then I put them into individual small containers and kept a few out but put the rest in the freezer. The things my baby liked the best were sweet potatoes and SPAM turkey.
