I have a collapsable steam basket, a pot, and a stick blender!  Why buy food when you can make it?  I agree!  There are mesh bags with handles, so you can feed your baby fresh steamed veggies without worries, too!

I usually steam veggies, mix a little of the water from the pot if it needs to be thinned out, portion them into ice cube trays, put plastic wrap over the food and freeze it!  It retains a lot of the nutrients and it's perfectly portioned!  It's that easy!  And takes almost no time at all!

Plus, it's a great way to get variety without paying too much!  Our baby gets whatever kind of veggies we'll be eating, just without salt or seasoning.  If I do buy veggies just for her, 5-10 sugar snap peas, is a nickle!  I think the lady at the checkout actually had to put her thumb on the scale to charge me!

Anyway, it's been a great experience for us.  I love feeling that my baby is getting the healthiest food I can give her.  And I feel that having a variety is important.  But eveyone is different.

Maybe I should try veggies instead of homemade pasta...
