Homelife Laundry Stain & Soil Remover Review

I have been using Shout the spray for many years.  When I ran out last time, I was floored at the price of it at the store.  I did however see a new brand I had not seen before called Homelife that was about .40 each.  Not a big savings, but a savings non the less, and I am always willing to try something new.  So I bought it.

Homelife Laundry Stain & Soil Remover is a spray laundry stain remover, that you use as a pretreater prior to washing the item.  You simply spray the stain remover on a stain before tossing it in to the wash.  You spray it directly on to the stain on the fabric.  They recommend you let it sit on the stain for at least 5 minutes before washing it.

It comes in a 32 ounce spray bottle.  The lid is the spray part and it is removable.  I actually like the spray nozzle on this a little better than the one on the shout because the shout one is kind of large and made of a thin plastic, I always knock the bottle down, and it always seems to break really easily which is very annoying because then you can't spray with it any more.  This lid is smaller and a bit thicker and firmer.  I have knocked it down several times, and it has still not broken, and I am nearly done with the bottle. 

Homelife Laundry Stain & Soil removal works really well on basic stains like spills, and mud.  However it did not get blood out at least not with the first washing, the stain got much lighter but was not completely gone.  A repeat washing got it to just a very light stain but still a stain.  But it worked well on most other things.  I would say it was just very slightly less effective than Shout.  There are of course some stains that are just too hard to remove for any stain remover. 

So if you need to save some pennies next time you buy Laundry Stain remover give Homelife Stain and Soil remover a shot.
