I am starting to think about this year's vegetable garden.  I have 2 10x10 raised beds which we fill with compost and fresh top soil from the dump each spring.  I usually plant lettuce, swiss chard, yellow squash, zucchini, cucumbers. bell peppers, and jalapenos.  Anything else is something new that I've decided to try.  Over the years I've also planted celery, carrots, radishes, eggplant, butternut squash, canteloupe, watermelon, kale, broccoli, etc.  I also do 4 or 5 tomato plants and many pots of herbs that I keep on the deck right outside the kitchen.

Do you grow a veggie garden in the summer? If not, are you considering one in these rough economic times?
