I use the swiffer mop for quick spills or doggy messes, but feel like I need something more powerful for the big jobs. Also, though I don't want to ever let go of the swiffer mop, I use everday living or walgreens brand mop cloths. They don't cost as much, and they clean as well if not better. I also have the swiffer sweeper vac, but have traded it in for a broom and dust pan.  Then I use it for the small crumbs left after sweeping.  I don't think it cleans up well for big messes either.
