I tried swiffer when they first came out and really enjoyed the convenience. However, the expense of keeping up on the cleaning pads and just the lack of being as clean as I would like.

 Also, with young children I didn't like how chemically everything smelt and felt. Now I'm a purely water and baking soda cleaner. We use minute traces of bleach, but that's only when the kids go to bed.

 I love my gadgets, and Lord knows I've invested in Swiffer more times than I'm willing to admit!

Through it all though, I've come to love just my mop and my carpet sweeper (works well on the tile). It's less expensive and I know exactly what's in it. Just my take though.
