Most HelpfulAs a home owner with big ideas, Home Depot has become our second home. We both have champagne tastes on a beer budget. There are two Home Depot Stores about the same distance away from us and we shop both regularly, some times several times a week.
The home we purchased was a foreclosure. The...

Most HelpfulI shopped the Home Depot in Sherman, TX for a new washer/dryer. The salesman told me they only had 2 models in stock ready for delivery (both were lower end). He went on to say that they stock very few major appliances and that most had to be ordered. I inquired what a person did if their refrigerator...

Sometimes I'm looking for things to actually fix things in my home and other times I'm looking to do perhaps a craft project on a large scale and the employees have always been there for me to help me figure out what may or may not work to fulfill my needs.
If I need the wood cut they do that for me too saving me A LOT of work! Such as cutting 4x4's posts, they will cut them in half for me saving...

Aisles are clear of clutter, the store's layout makes it very easy to find everything you're looking for, and in our local store, anyway, the staff is most helpful, easily found (when you need assistance) and always friendly.
My husband uses Home Depot for a good many materials not found in lumber stores or specialized hardwares, as he is a building...

Today, as I tried to return an item (11633 NE Glen Widing Dr. Portland, OR 97220) that was still unopened and brand new in the box, I received the most horrid customer service from this location. The Store Mgr. perhaps needs to go back to Corporate for better customer service training or have a customer service consultant retrain him to the world-class level of Lowe's, Toyota, Nordstrom, and Costco.
When someone says, "there's nothing we can do for you, there's no solution." They're not doing a very good job in problem solving, customer satisfaction, but...
Angela Roberts is responsible for our deciding to buy our entire house project from Home
Depot. We had designed a home we waited 10 years to be able to build. (I'll spare all
that info.) I dreaded going to yet another box store to attempt to get the kitchen plan
picked out and priced. Well did I get the surprise of my life. An intelligent, delightful,
helpful sales associate who has designed the kitchen of my dreams to the last detail,
as if she had known me all my life, and knew exactly what I wanted. The final price of
my kitchen with the appliances was 45 - 50 % less than the competitor...

Unfortunately, for the longest time everytime we went to the store we left so dis-illusioned, especially with customer service. We vowed never to go there as it was so exasperating in pricing and customer service.
As our son grew we began taking him to the Saturday morning build and take sessions, so we started looking around again and started purchasing products here. As time went by we now are happy to...
read full review »I have been a customer of the Home Depot for many years and I used to frequent them quite a bit, but as of late I have found myself favoring Lowe's to Home Depot. There are a few reasons that I am "less than thrilled" with the Home Depot. Firstly, I feel that their customer service is really lacking. I can't tell you how many time my husband and I have wandered around Home Depot looking for an associate to answer a question. It is frustrating when you looking for a sales associate you feel like you are searching for a new species of mammal. Secondly, I hate Home Depots self checkout. It is very...
read full review »Since buying a new house in April, Home Depot has become my go-to store for anything and everything home related.
One thing that has become an issue is consistency. We can go to the same store, twice in one day (which unfortunately happens often in the middle of a project) and the first time we go, everyone we meet could be super friendly and helpful and we are guided through the process. But then we could go to the same store just a couple hours later and have a complete opposite experience of the first - wandering around lost, looking for help, etc.
After shopping around to other big-box...

My counter-top turned out good because it was installed by the company that makes it, not Home Depot, but the back-splash looks horrible. The grout lines are messy and uneven. In fact, there is grout on the wood trim on the door leading to the dining hall and underneath the cabinets. The tiles are uneven and the lines don't match up. When the grout dried, there were cracks all over, so I called the guy back and he started complaining and saying "it didn't matter." All in all,...

I was lookiing for soomething to make a brick backsplash for. Home depot laughed at me and said that they didin't even know what I was talking about. Lowes walked around with me to help me find what I was looking for. That was just one example of the great customer service you get at home depot.I like to compare the two stores to make sure that I am getting a better price for what I need. I will go to home depot first and then always end up buying...

It has a variety of gardening needs including flowers, shrubs, trees, grass seed, mulch, landscaping materials and much more. I have planted many of their flowers in my garden with excellent results. The live plants, flowers, shrubs, etc. are very healthy with a lot of variety to choose from. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and very helpful. The prices are outstanding. I absolutely love shopping at the Home Depot Garden Center and look forward to another great year of gardening.
Purchased special order hardwood flooring for my new home. After 2 months of waiting and numerous phone calls half of my order has arrived and the other half is missing and has no been located. I just keep getting the same generic answer from the store "We Are Working on Trying To Locate The Rest Of Your Order. ." Buyers beware of special order items shipped outside of the USA! It will save time and misery!
