Most HelpfulWhen I goto Lowe's I am welcomed buy every emplohyee & the Management. Toded, the Manager even escorts me to departments to assist with getting me what I need but have no idea what it is called or who makes it. Every item he has given me work, does te best, and husband is amazed that I can buy stuff.
Last year my husband bought me a MTD/Troy Built snow blower that is power driven since I cannot push it with my broken neck, and the first time I use it it blows its engine. Obvious not a new unit sold to us for $600 at Brooklyn Tractor in Cleveland OH. So we phone them to come & get it, we...

For the last year we have focused on the gigantic kitchen.
We are doing everything ourselves. We have found Home Depot's Staff to be rude and their company policies to penalize the do-it-yourselfers.
For example, you can't order or even get a cost estimate for cabinets or counter tops without having them come out and measure! Or course there is a large fee for this "service". Apparently, Home Depot feels that the consumer isn't capable of reading a tape measure.
Needless to say we didn't buy from them.
Ok, I have been boycotting Home Depot for more than three years now because of the following story: On a Sunday night mid-winter (cold and snowy), we had a plumber at our house doing some work. He didn't have a part to fix (both) of our toilets so I went out to get one. I first drove past Lowe's which was listed as being closed (time sign). So I figured I would try Home Depot. I went to the exit doors and begged the manager to let me come in to buy the one part that would allow both toilets to work otherwise we would be without toilets. He said that all of the registers were closed even though...

She looked herself for a match.
Consulted with another asssociate for help.
Called a toll free number on my old filter and asked for a local vendor.
She then helped me with items in electrical department.
It is my experience that associates in the large box stores are so busy trying to help customers and do all their other assigned chores...that a customer tends to get a quick...
read full review »When we did a complete remodel on our kitchen, we has Home Depot resurface our cupboards. The representative came to our home and was very helpful, not at all pushy. However, when the contractorsthat Home Depot used came and did the work, one of the guys in particular did VERY sloppy work. We had to keep pointing out things that were crooked, and after looking more closely to the work, we found even more shabby workmanship. The two workers had to come back twice after they had completed the job to fix, and or replace veneer and crown molding. In several places, for instance, the one guy had shot...
read full review »Over the past 5 years this company has become too big for their britches! Left and Right, everything we bought there was falling apart. Then when you take it back to replace it, they say, "Oh, I'm sorry New Policy, We have to send it off to get fixed." Then they say it was looked at and cost this much to replace and its not covered. Yet when you look at the paperwork that came with the item it said it was.
More and More like other chains unfortunately, like Wal-Mart. Everyone needs to step up and see the bigger picture...Your paying cheaper, because your getting cheaper, crappier products! ...
