Home Depot - New Albany, IN —

When I goto Lowe's I am welcomed buy every emplohyee & the Management.  Toded, the Manager even escorts me to departments to assist with getting me what I need but have no idea what it is called or who makes it.  Every item he has given me work, does te best, and husband is amazed that I can buy stuff.

Last year my husband bought me a MTD/Troy Built snow blower that is power driven since I cannot push it with my broken neck, and the first time I use it it blows its engine.  Obvious not a new unit sold to us for $600 at Brooklyn Tractor in Cleveland OH.  So we phone them to come & get it, we are told they no longer sell MTD & Troy Built is their product.  I TOLD THEM THEY HAVE MY MONEY FOR CRAP.  They said sorry, but not theiir problem.  So I got the Attorney General of State of Ohio to get our money back.  SO now we are shopping for a new one.  I have seen plenty of reviews for Toro & Ariens.

Lowes is #1 stop but guess what, they have MTD & Troy Built, NO WAY!  So over to Home Depot we go.  They have Ariens  Sno THro #520E which is electric start, power drive, major cleaning right down to the ice to have a clean drievway, walkway, etc.  3 year warranty & charge it to AMEX & get 4 years. $650 total with tax.  Jim, the manager was great getting it put together for us.  Then out to the parking lot for me to test drive it.  2 push down handles, left is wheels & right is auger & away I go at a very comfortable speed blwinmg snow all over.  So he & my husband get it into the back of the SUV with the window open for the handle to hand out.  2 miles home & in the garage it goes.

Next morning 2 feet of snow.  Perfect timing for the Sno Thro & I am dressed for Alaska & out I go to get ti out, started & down the drive I go blowing snow very easy.  Then turn to head back up & the rubber of the right wheel falls off!!!!  So I phone HD & am tranferred to Jim who sends a guy out with a new wheel to replace it.  He even cleans my drive for me.

2 weeks later again we get snow so I am blowing it and now the whole wheel falls off, not just rubber.  SO I find the pin in the snow & have my policeman neighbor help turning it on its side, getting the wheel on & pin in & away I go.  But as I am doing the patio again the wheel falls off but it the left one.  Also the axil is about 2 feet longer than it should be.  So I phone Jim but he is on vacation so another Manager named Rick tells me I have had this longer than 30 days so they no longer take it back.  I can take it to a repair shop in Parma OH.  How I ask him.  So a neighbor asks why I am not plowing & I told him the new one is broke.  He phones Ariens for me & they are having my unit picked up & repaired.  So the guy shows, see the mess it is and tells me it is nothing major.  He opens his truck panel with tools galore.  He has 2 new wheels, since mine were recalled by Ariens & he was told to fix it up.  He has a new axil and everything is working & now a year later it is still a great unit.

I stopped at HD a week later, saw Jim & told him how rude Rick was to me.  He took me into an office, had me dial a number to Corporate HD & I told them to fire Rick & make Jim Store Manager.  He even drives out to my home to make sure all is fine with the Ariens, to fix my dryer vent for a new dryer that is 6 months old.  He even brought a new vent for outside that looks like he slided it into 3 pieces & tells me that when the cycle starts to look outside to see if the 3 are sticking open.  If not then I am not vented.

But without Jim, I would never go into HD ever again.  Why they never phoned on a recalled Ariens Sho Thro????  And they gave me -0- for all the headaches from them.
