Great, eco-friendly all-purpose cleaner

5

We prefer to use environmentally-friendly cleaners in our house whenever possible, and we wish they were all as effective as Holy Cow Concentrated Cleaner. It's not always easy to find locally, but it's definitely worth the hassle to mail-order it because it's so versatile. In a pinch, we've used it instead of glass cleaner, stainless steel cleaner, bathroom cleaner and even over cleaner. Performance We use it mostly in the bathroom (where cleans tile and mirrors and even gets off soap scum) and in the kitchen (where it cleans floors, counters, shines stainless steel appliances and gets off baked-on messes the oven, toaster oven and microwave). For everyday use, we sometimes dilute and it still works fine, but for tougher messes we just use the full-strength cleaner and really get results. We love that Holy Cow Concentrated Cleaners get things clean without harsh chemicals. Scent It doesn't have a very strong scent, just a light one that lets you know that things are now fresh and clean.

Holy Cow! It IS for all purposes!

I really love pink things. I was in the local True Value hardware store and saw this bottle of cotton-candy pink solution with a silly-looking cow on it. I thought the packaging was hilarious so I bought it. It was on sale, but even at the regular price it's a steal. The label brags about all of the surfaces it can clean and of its degreasing power. It even lists carpets, furniture and laundry stains as some of the surfaces. But look at the ingredients: non-toxic, biodegradable, cruelty free, no ammonia, no alcohol, no harmful chemicals, no citrus-based products, and no chlorine based additives. So what's in it? The blend is proprietary, so I guess we'll never know. Since I just bought it for the color and packaging, I had it in the cupboard for a while... then I ran out of Formula 409 *gasp*. Since I had some cleaner, I just decided to use this until I could get back to the store to get some 409. Well, since I started using Holy Cow All-Purpose Cleaner, I haven't had a need for another cleaning solution! I've used it on the laundry (bye, Shout!), in the bathroom (bye, Scrubbing Bubbles), in the kitchen (adios, aforementioned Formula 409), and for pet stains (goodbye stunning array of carpet products that never worked). Holy Cow all-purpose cleaner has done an excellent job for all of those situations! I am especially impressed with how it gets pet stains out of carpet. Hands-down this has been the best product to eliminate soap scum and rust stains in the bathroom I have used. It works wonders on food stains and in the microwave in the kitchen.  I have to say that even as impressed I am with the crazy pink solution, I am still a little tentative about some applications. Like I said - I have used it on laundry. I've used it on jeans, towels, and some t-shirts. I just steer away from putting it on anything that would make me sad if it got ruined. That's just me. I stick to laundry-only products for my delicates. Some other surfaces the bottle advertises it can work on are: Terrazzo tile, wood floors, and granite. I do not have any of those surfaces in my home, though I have used it on a solid oak kitchen table with success. I don't know how delicate those surfaces are (it also does not say whether or not you can use it on laminate floors), but this is a pretty mild (and very effective) solution. The scent is just a general cleaning fluid smell, not citrus, flowery, or bleach. It is also *not antibacterial*. I use it on all of my kitchen surfaces, but on areas that have touched raw meat, I run an antibacterial wipe over after. I found it to be cheaper to buy a bottle of Holy Cow all-purpose cleaner and a tub of antibacterial wipes for food preparation areas. I was wasting money buying an antibacterial cleaner and using it for all surfaces, instead of for just where the food was prepared. Use Holy Cow for cleaning and not sanitizing. All in all, Holy Cow all-purpose cleaner was a surprising little find! It actually **is** for all purposes and works well not only for cleaning but for your budget, too! Five stars!

Holy Cow. Not just a clever name!

I prefer to use items that are "all natural", so when I saw this, I thought I should try it.  "Holy Cow" was not just a clever name for this product.  You will find yourself saying it repeatedly while you are cleaning.  You don't even have to scrub.  It easily cleans grease, which made me the happiest.  Just spray and wipe.  My stove has never been cleaner.

Couldnt live without my Holy Cow

Holy cow multipurpose has been a lifesaver in my house!  With my husband and son having sensitivies to many scents, most cleaning products are not safe for my house. I do you alternative cleaners occassionally (Like plain white vinegar) but when I have a tough mess, I go for the Holy cow.  I was skeptical of anything that was safe to use might actually work too?  It does!!  From the nasty shower scum that was in our new house when we moved in, to the greasy messes of oil on my garage floor.  Things I never thought would get clean are looking almost new again. I like that I do not have to worry about the kids touching a surface that is wet with the product, or panic if the dog walks through it.  It is gentle on skin too, I have not worn rubber gloves when using it, and I have not had any problems, or even dry skin afterwards. The only downside I have found is that it is hard to find in my area.  It is comparably priced to simillar and less effective products.

While standing in line at my local Wal-Mart I noticed an eye-catching display of a new cleaning product.  I picked up a bottle and thought "Wow, how cute is this!?"  The cleaner is pink and the bottle is clear with a pink and green label with a picture of a dancing cow in the middle.  I figured -what the heck.  I threw it in the buggy and took it home.  I tried it first on the counters in the kitchen and it worked great.  Then on the stove- great there too.  I spread my cleaning experiment to glass tabletops, walls, floors, bathroom fixtures and doors.  It removed spots, marks, grease and grime from everything it touched.  Then one of my children (there are 5 in all) came to me with a shirt she had just spilled Kool-Aid all over.  I said "Let's Holy Cow it! "  I sprayed the product directly on the stain and let it sit for about 20 minutes before I threw the shirt in the wash.  The shirt came back out without a spot on it!  I hadn't noticed until later that not only does the product work great, but it is all-natural and safe for the environment! How awesome is that?  One product that cleans virtually everything and eco-friendly too.....Now when one of the kids make a mess, they all shout "Holy Cow It!!!!"
