I bought this Holmes HAOF90 table fan to help air circulate in my room in the front of the house where the sun used to shine in on extremely hard especially in the summer. The room would get so hot that I would sweat like a pig just sitting in there (and there IS a central air conditioning unit in the house). I got this fan pretty inexpensive but pumps air out strong so it feels good on a warm face. it does a great job in circulating the air and in cooling it a bit (it is not an air conditioner so it will not make an entire room cooler if that is what you are looking for) It's black and sleek and not ugly like the old box fans. The only thing about it is that it's not that quiet, but for the price and the work it does, I wouldn't expect it to be quiet.

Yeah, I know, lame. But it does just that. I have it sitting on the desk next to me, and let me tell you, it works wonders. Living in Arizona, you NEED good air circulation. During the summer, its either cranking up the a/c (and cranking up the electricity bill) or its turning on the fan for a quick cool-down. I think the choice is pretty obvious. This table fan has plenty of power for a single person to use, and at the highest power setting my wife can feel it from across the room. Of course, that's only when I'm not hogging it to myself. If you've been finding yourself turning the a/c down a few degrees, then go ahead and give this fan a try. If it keeps you from turning the thermostat down even 1 degree, it will pay for itself in no time!

When I went to get a new fan, one of the most important features was the strength of the wind power from the fan and the price. This fan fit my requirements! It is a sturdy fan with three power levels and oscilation, plus it didn't cost a lot. It is very easy to use, just plug it in and turn it on. I usually use the highest level because I get hot during the night when I sleep. This fan will blow out air from across the room! It's enough air to keep you pleasantly cooled, too. I like that it can be used as a table fan or you can mount it on your wall because it has three positions you can use. It also oscillates, although I do not like that feature as well as the others. I like for the air to blow directly on me, but other people might like that it is not constantly blowing on them. One drawback is that it is loud on the highest power level, because of the strength of the air. That does not bother me, because I like that it drowns out the television from my son and husband and allows me to fall asleep quickly. If you are like me and like to stay cool at night, this is the fan for you.
